This place is certainly unique! Quite the interesting atmosphere right when you walk in. There a bookstore, lounge, bar/restaurant. There's certainly nothing like it, the atmosphere is great, service is friendly and good is good! There's many options in the menu including many vegetarian options! Also, one of the few times I've had gazpacho that I've enjoyed! Albeit the prices... More

We came here for a late lunch and it was great! We took advantage of the happy hour specials ... A draft beer and mojitos ...delicious! We had the Falafel, a pizza and the cauliflower sandwich and enjoyed them each! The staff was very friendly and we even bought a book on our way out...we will be back!

The food at Busboys and Poets is good, but what I loved was the ambiance. Books all around, great environment, Probably isn't the best place for kids, at least at night, but teens and up would be perfect.

I love this place! The bookstore combined with cafe and restaurant is awesome, and the decor is so inspiring! There are a ton of options on the menu (many vegetarian friendly), and the service is great.

Awesome atmosphere kind of a book shop meets bar/coffee shop/restaurant. The food was good (I had Cuban and my husband had Reuben) and the nachos were plentiful. Our mojitos were amazing! Buuuut $10 per drink at not a fancy place adds up. That said the poet mojito was a nice change - it had pineapple and orange in it. Easy... More

Very nice place combined with a book store. Good food for the decent price. Yellow tomato gaspacio is a heaven for the hot day meal. Other meals where including pizzas was excellent. The staff is friendly. The only issue - it's quite far from downtown but U Tunnel is a special place.

Was attending a convention and my two dining dining companions and I were looking for a place to eat that would have some "vegan" options--besides salad. This place is amazing. They have so many options for everyone. I had the gazpacho for starters--delicious blend of cold veggies. Then the veggie sliders as my entree. They were amazing--couldn't finish all three,... More

Great for the "Eat" local and special dietary folks....we are not but throughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The grass fed burgers are to die for and the pizzas very tasty - we dined here 2 of our 3 nights in DC since it was right around the corner from our hotel. Very happy we did!!

Talk about great food and atmosphere. Can't beat this place. The food was well prepared and large proportions. The atmosphere was soothing and inviting. The service was quick. I would definitely return. We ordered the fried chicken, crab fritters and lamb sliders. Everything was great!
