Met family here on a trip to DC. The food options were very eclectic and plenty of allergy-friendly options. We all loved our meals and the look and feel of the restaurant. The bookstore and art everywhere were another bonus.

Eclectic menu. Vegan dishes available. Good variety of salads, sandwiches and entrees. Trendy ingredients like quinoa and tofu in many dishes. Some unique items like green tomato gazpacho with guacamole. Prices reasonable.

Grits may be but not sure about shrimp as they are served with a sauce that may contain flour. However they do have other GF choices.

Definitely call, but so many gluten free choices No on the reservations but wait was not horrible at 8:30 on a Friday night. Maybe 20 minutes. And you can get a drink at the bar or browser the books.
