We were meeting our friends at Brasserie Beck, and since we were the first arriving, we decided to seat at the bar which was great. The coctails were good and looking exotic. The restaurant itself looks pretty elegant with a semi-open kitchen. The staff is friendly and knows their job very well. The food was delicious, great mussels and fabulous... More

Lovely service, attentive but not obtrusive. I had the foie gras special, gazpacho w/lobster and curry mussels and everything was delicious. We were there earlier in the evening, around 6pm, and it was very quiet which was nice since we had kids in tow. Certainly not a "family friendly" restaurant with a kids menu, but we were made to feel... More

I visited this restaurant as part of a large group a few nights back for an early dinner. It was essentially a set 3 course meal with a salad, then a choice of main between beef or chicken and then a key lime cheesecake type dessert. The food was pretty good for a large function. A couple of times the... More

I've been coming here for years and today came for a celebratory brunch. The waiter did not pay attention and my friend did not receive his food that he ordered and I was not satisfied with the response of the manager. As a frequent visitor to many restaurants and who recommends places to clients and friends I would ask all... More

Brasserie Beck had consistently maintained its quality. It is a great choice for Belgian food, from moules to steak frites. Friendly staff, pleasant venue, relaxed atmosphere, and even outdoor seating, Washington summer heat permitting.

I read online to order the mussels. Tempting! But I ordered the duck breast instead because I love duck. Delicious! With mushrooms and carrots and a perfect non-sweet sauce. Also ordered a separate side of fries, which are perfect! Just me, so I ate at the bar. Service was professional and not lovey-dovey (so, just what I like). Sinatra &... More

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant to me and now I shall pass along a recommendation to you...if you find yourself in downtown DC and want a truly delicious meal, you can't go wrong with Brasserie Beck. The restaurant features an array of Belgian dishes and beers that perfectly accompany the food. If beer isn't your thing, the wine... More

The mussels in Thai sauce were delicious as was the bread. I had the grilled octopus over chick peas. Beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious.

We went there as a group with reservations a month in advance; so, I don't know if our experience was different. The manager was very willing to cooperate and offer options for the vegetarians in our group. The food was delicious however, quite expensive and the house wines were not that good...

This was my first time, but I'll be back. I heard that this restaurant was having an all-you-can eat mussels night to celebrate Belgian Independence Day. I love mussels, so why not? I'm so glad I went! The mussels were awesome! Unfortunately, the all-you-can eat special did not allow you to mix and match the mussels. The waiter recommended the... More
