My friend recommended this place - and she is a foodie so I had my hopes up. Sadly - I doubt I will return. The ceviche was shameful. Too much celery and not enough fish. The flavor was essentially non existent. The heirloom tomato salad was the best part. My friend had the mussels - which were actually good. For... More

We spent 4 days in DC and happened to stay across the street at the hostel. We randomly walked into the place. We were delightfully pleased with the indoor/outdoor seating and upscale but laid back decor. The food was excellent we ate here 3 times while in DC. The beer selection is amazing. Apparently Brasserie is the French word for... More

Brasserie Beck has been a consistent favorite for years and truly has never disappointed. I brought work colleagues this time and they were impressed. Excellent beer and wine selection with impeccable service. Outstanding charcuterie had someone who said they don't like Fois Gras eating just that. Duck, scallops and pork all very good this time. Our only complaint tonight was... More

This is the place to go for a great variety of Beer, both on tap and in bottles, what a great selection ! and don't worry if you get overwhelmed because they have "Dean" the Beer Guy to help,( a true beer aficionado) . The food is so beautifully presented, it is truly artistic. The Charcuterie Plate is absolutely mouth... More

The restaurant was a bit quiet for a Friday lunch downtown, and the indoor space was at once vast AND oddly compartmentalized, which created a strange sense of even further isolation from the other few diners during my visit . . . not something I expected at a brasserie; however, having written that, my classic steak frites was delicious! Perfectly... More

We were a group of friends/co-workers here for an event at the Convention Center and decided to try this restaurant because it was something different. What a great treat! The food was wonderful. I started the evening with an amazing cocktail called the Necromancer which was light and citrusy with a great bourbon finish. I loved it!! I had the... More

I try and visit every time I am in DC (once or twice a year). I was a little worried when I saw the menu, as it seemed very spartan. But the moules mariniere was actually perhaps the best I have ever had. The food was still top notch. Decadent but delicious. Very Belgian. Service was not great. But I'm... More

This place really has a European bistro feel, which I love. We just stopped in for a snack and a few beers. We started with the Shallot and Onion soup, which was amazing. I've never had a spin on French Onion like this before. It was Smokey from the pork belly, wonderful! The beer is great, just ask for a... More

I'm going to state up front that I was there with a huge group that reserved the entire restaurant for an evening with light & heavy appetizers as the food offering. Everything was good, tasty and professionally presented. Though not everyone reading Trip Advisor is looking for a banquet sized event to accommodate, but should you be, these folks know... More

Dined there on a Wed night without a reservation, wasn't too busy. They are known for their mussels, but I'm not crazy about them, so I had the scallops, which were delicious. Expansive beer list.
