Came here on Valentines Day. They seated us without reservation, which we were not expecting and was a nice surprise. We have done take-out before, which was ready when we got there and good to go. We actually sat in last night, and ordered different...things and everything we have had so far has been great--soup, sushi, ceviche. Service was really good. They did not bother us until we were done looking at the menu--this has always been a no brainer to me, that if someone is looking at the menu they have not decided. Our waitress waited until we had just closed it, she came right by and took our order--perfect. The only thing I can say is that the prices of some things are high, (as is most in Georgetown/Glover) but the sushi is priced well and they do have a wide variety of alcohol options.More

It's tough to give a fair rating when all you ate was a lunch special. Every part of the meal (soup, salad, teriyaki, rolls) was good, but I didn't order anything challenging enough for a better judgment. But my friend eats here regularly, and his...food was fine. His support pushed the rating from average to very good. I would certainly be happy eating here again. Service was fine, and the price was right. Not the most elegant ambiance, but fine for a meal on the run or a family meal. Not sure I would bring my fussy aunt here, however. She wouldn't sit at the counter (although there are tables as well.)More

The service was good and the food was too. Had the king tuna roll and the fatty tuna, both very good. Family had the udon soup which had to be sent back to be warmed up because it was only tepid. The soup was ok,...not great. The service was attentive and friendly. Not a great place if you want to converse, it got awfully loud when the place was full.More

We love the fantasy roll! Everything here is good but if we go and don't get the fantasy roll, we regret it!

Really tasty, simple Japanese food. Reasonable prices, friendly and efficient staff. Good lunch deals too.

So, a little background: we were in DC for the Rock 'n Roll marathon and were looking for some place fun to celebrate (without breaking the bank). We actually started at Dumplings and Beyond (across the street) and had ordered some dumplings before we discovered...(to our dismay!) that they don't serve alcohol. Ack! Having walked by Sushi Keiko on our way from the car, we soon backtracked. What a providential accident! Our waiter was fantastic-- funny and helpful, attentive without being pushy-- and the other servers would step in to chat if we needed something or just to say hello. It's a great atmosphere-- super friendly-- and the food was delicious. We had a few maki and some great appetizers (a wonderful sashimi salad!)-- the only things we didn't love was the ikura, which tasted oddly sweet. All in all, it was a super fun evening of good food, good service and all with delightful Japanese beer to toast our accomplishment. If we lived it town, it would become a regular haunt for sure!More

I've eaten here before, particularly on weekends (and Friday) when they have their lunch specials, and they are quite popular and really quite good. I had a generous salmon teriyaki fillet (delicious!) with a small portion of pureed sweet potato and mushrooms, in addition to...wonderful rice, salad and soup for $10.95. Good, reasonably priced lunch option! Others were enjoying bento boxes and special sushi and sashimi meals. The restaurant is very minimalist and the seating fairly limited, but there's a nice sushi bar that seats 12-15 people. The staff is very friendly. A number of customers came in to pick up large take-out orders. This spot has had a Japanese restaurant for over 20 years, so it is well known and dependable. Highly recommend.More

I'm so glad this sushi joint finally reopened. Our neighborhood was in desperate need of sushi, and this place did not disappoint. The sushi is very fresh. I'm quite the sushi snob, and the fish quality reminds me of eating in Japan, without the astronomical...prices. The servers are warm and welcoming. They also are quick to correct any mistakes; I was halfway through my sushi before I realized that I had accidentally received someone else's order. They comped what I already had eaten, and brought out everything that I ordered. Belly full o' fish right now. I docked this place one star, because I sat at the sushi bar in hopes of ordering directly from the sushi chef. Unfortunately, sitting at the bar is mostly for entertainment...that is, if you're entertained by watching a guy make a thousand California rolls for all those takeout orders. The waitress took my order and put it in front of the sushi chef standing in front of me. It's like playing sushi-telephone. Also, the decor hasn't changed since they reopened. One wall is entirely black, with nothing on it. It makes the place seem a bit dark, or lacking ambience, when really, this is a lovely, charming local restaurant.More

A friendly neighborhood restaurant with good sushi and a reasonable selection of other Japanese dishes. Quiet.

Ate here with a friend on a Friday evening. We initially had to wait about 5 minutes to get acknowledged by someone for a seat, but finally one of the sushi chefs noticed us and had us sit down. We sat right at the sushi...bar, watching the chefs prepare the fresh sushi. We each ordered a different roll, both of which were very good. The eel is great here. They also have half liter bottles of Sapporo, though not on draft. Overall, a very good place for sushi with a nice atmosphere. Just be weary that next door is a strip club, so don't plan on waiting outside late at night.More
