this was our first time trying Indian food and we were treated to a great evening of food and service, being new to the cuisine we put our fate in the hands of or server and were left with a very great meal that was to our taste and enjoyable from Apps to dessert , a great find in DC... More

My partner and I picked this restaurant based on its high rating on this site. The restaurant is busy, has a good ambience and is very clean and well-presented. We were kept waiting for our reserved table for 15 minutes because the restaurant was so busy. However, this was a minor irritation. Our waiter was very efficient and provided good... More

Four of us went for a business dinner midweek and the place was packed. Even with reservations we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our table but it was well worth the wait. The signature spinach dish was superb. We ordered a lot of different things to try; black cod, lamb chops, chicken , different vegetable dishes. Every... More

Very upscale, hard to get a reservation type of place, and totally worth the wait and the price. Not sure I see it as a family place, it is more of a bar/date kind of place as well. Excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommend, and definitely recommend reserving something early, it can be difficult to get a table. Great value... More

This is truly the best place to dine for Indian food in DC. Every dish is so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The moment you step into the restaurant, you know this place has a charm of it's own. Excellent service and great food, you really cannot ask for more. I don't think it is very expensive as the quality... More

Have been here on several occasions, and each time, as this restaurant has deservedly earned, it was excellent. This time, however, was our first large group (8) experience, which left much to be desired. This place is always busy and the night we had our dinner was no different, but we certainly could have used more attention, more help ordering,... More

Food, ambience and service were all good. A little on an the expensive side but can't blame them they are located right in the middle of all the action in DC and one can only imagine the rent. Tough to get reservations but we're lucky to just walk in when they opened. Saw reviews that this was not a place... More

Had reservations for lunch @ 12:30 pm. Arrived early and was immediately seated. Waiter was very helpful with suggestions of what to order and service was very good. My water glass was never empty! Loved all the combinations of spices in the dishes we ordered. Very popular restaurant for business crowd; felt like the only tourists at the restaurant. It... More

Enjoyed the tasting menu on the outdoor patio. They were very accomodating and the food was full of layered flavors. The Palak Chaat is not to be missed!

Twice we have come to this restaurant on a whim, and the rewards have been great. We have spent honourable time eating formally in dining room with colleagues, friends, and relatives, but such dinners, while quite good, cannot equal the delight of sitting at the bar with the ultra witty tenders making it all happen, ordering unbelievably delicious, immediately served...
