After years of eating at Citronelle (five years every other month)when visitng DC we tried the Bistro Michel Richard started. This was barely average , but I gave it that rating out of gratefulness for his previous restaurant. The main course which was a grilled Branzino was absolutely black from the grill, it had been cooked with the skin on... More

Most recently there for a private event..Chef David did not dissapoint. I've not had a bad meal here, and I've have been several times. The gougeres are light and delicious, the wine list excellent, the entrees and desserts top notch. It is cliché here, but if you haven't tried the Fried Chicken or Michel ' s famous Kit Kat, you... Just had lunch at Central. Menu centered around French dishes. Nice place, staff is excellent, what amazed me were the very reasonable prices, for a very good food quality. There's even an excellent prix fixe menu for lunch at 22.50, with appetizer, main course and dessert. The restaurant seems to be packed so it is probably necessary to book. But... More

Great lunch, enjoyed the lunch special which was a pretty good value. The Yellow Tomato Gazpacho was fantastic!

Found this very pleasant restaurant for dinner in DC and was totally impressed with atmosphere(casual), cuisine(sumptuous & imaginative), wines & service(helpful & gracious). In my extensive travels, this was THE BEST grilled loup-de-mer(European sea bass) ever! This was combined with tasty fresh North Atlantic oysters served on-the-shell, and a house French Chenin - Domaine de Baumard - crisp & dry!... More

Large place with inside and outside, maybe a bit pricey but worth it. Food nicely prepared and presented, attentive waitstaff, great variety. I welcome respite from DC sightseeing.

Food tastes better when it is beautifully presented. That's the case with every dish at Central. I had a watermelon and tomato salad with watermelon radish garnish that was so pretty I just had to photograph it. Our guests had the delicious yellow tomato gazpacho. The Eggceptional lemon dessert (pictured) was awesome and beautiful.

We had lunch here during Restaurant Week. Not surprisingly, the place was packed. But we were seated right away by the smiling host. We ordered the three-course lunch, which, because it was Restaurant Week, was a great value. I had the Goat Cheese Caesar, which was elegant and delicious. Next was the Ahi Tuna - the underlying hot broth was... More

My wife, my brother and sister in law enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Central on a Friday. We started with a glass of Pinot Grigio, very good. As appetizers we had cheese puffs, yellow tomato gazpacho, scallop carpaccio, and goat cheese Caesar salad, excellent. Three of us had the Restaurant Week special (included appetizer, entree, and dessert for $22). I... More

This is a great spot for happy hour drinks and small plates if you're not into mozzarella sticks and Buffalo wings. I've been in many times and it's always excellent, both for snacks and the full menu. If you sit at the bar you can order from either the bar menu or the full menu so no need for a... More
