We didn't realize it was Restaurant Week in DC when we went to Central, choosing it because it was so highly ranked for having one of the best burgers in DC (it's all about the beef...). So, some of us ordered burgers, and some ordered off the special menu...and everything was top-notch! Try the burgers...aged beef, great condiments, soft bun,... More

I was hot and frustrated when I arrived late for my reservation because there was nonon street parking available and the nearest garage was $21.00. I was still seated immediately, though it took awhile to get water or bread. Two servers introduced themselves and waited on me, which was a little confusing. I had the scallop tartare, which was just... More

This place has been consistently great over time, and it is absolutely wonderful since Kim took over as manager. The food is delicious, the location is great, and the ambiance is inviting. Will definitely keep going back.

After reading the reviews, we thought this was going to be one of the best restaurants in DC. Maybe it was a bad night or we chose the wrong dishes, but we were not impressed. The food was good solid food, but nothing to rave about. The cheese puff appetizers were almost tasteless, one of the kind of oysters were... More

We had great hopes but only had average meals. Plus, it was quite expensive. Its pretty and still trendy so go there if the food is not the # 1 priority.

The atmosphere and food at Central do not disappoint. The bar was a wonderful place for a drink, and the small plate menu provided interesting options. The dinner menu has something for everyone. Service was prompt and responsive. The celebration cake was a wonderful dessert. Overall, a very pleasant and tasty evening.

I can't say enough good things! The food and service was fantastic. On my entree I asked to substitute spinach for green beans, but he waiter forgot and brought me spinach, which was no big deal. To apologize, he not only brought me the green beans, but also gave me a complimentary refill on my wine! The cheese puffs are... More

Next to the Hoover Building (FBI HQ), it is a place worth visiting. We were a party of 4 and shared a Cote du Boeuf, which at 32 ounces was plentyfull. Well cooked and very good sides. Fantastic cava.
