I liked this place before they "improved" the menu. Some things remain great: 1. The menu is varied and features imaginative creations with a French-American twist. 2. The warm bread is simply amazing. 3. The Fried Chicken is perfect: crispy outside and tender inside; 4. The Chocolate Mousse is to be eaten slowly, and is one of the best I... More

We visited the restaurant on a weekend and the place was very lively, great atmosphere and ambiance. There is valet parking, but we were able to find street parking only a block away. For appetizers we tried the cheese puffs and the burrata, egg plant caponata without the prosciutto; which was excellent. For entree we had the hanger steak and... More

My husband and I went here for our 30th anniversary. It was a little hectic since it was the night of the Women's March and there was a loud protest going on across the street at the Trump Hotel - complete with police lights. Nonetheless, the restaurant did not disappoint in the least. We tried the pumpkin soup, the country... More

The food here is amazing. Great meat and fish dishes. Every thing is spectacular. And absolutely save room for dessert -- there are several great choices all which are awesome and you can't pick a bad one

Date night. Well dressed. Reserved a table at iconic Central Michel Richard, rated by Washingtonian as 20th best in DC. Arrived to a busy crowd scene; that's okay, but table wasn't ready so we found the bar. Hostess eventually found us and ushered us to a bare bones wooden table right in the center of the long restaurant, with scores... More

After hearing about it on a business trip last year, I took a friend there last week. It just happened to be restaurant week. Place was jammed; we were happy to get in. Everything we ordered was fabulous (especially the fried chicken entrée) except the pistachio creme brûlée. I suspect that it is not their normal recipe, but it was... More

Restaurant week came and went and we ate too much excellent food. Tried five and recommend them all. Central Michel Richard was wonderful. I tried the famous fried chick and it was wonderful. There were three other choices that looked interesting and the first course and dessert also good. I'll be back

I took my tween niece to dinner before attending a performance at the Warner Theater. The pre-theater menu offered us a great value, time efficient, and delicious meal that had us in our seats by 7pm with a 5:30 dinner reservation. My niece can be a picky eater but our server explained the courses and offered to make changes to... More

We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Central Michel Richard. Our server was attentive and friendly. We had a drink at the bar prior to being seated and the Manhattan was excellent! For dinner, my husband enjoyed the fried chicken which had a much lighter batter than traditional southern style. excellent! I enjoyed the hanger steak, it was fantastic! Juicy and... More
