The food here was ordinary Thai, nothing extraordinary. Medium spice. Unmemorable flavor. Just okay.

I stopped here for lunch during a conference I was attending around the corner. It's a kinda small hole in the wall place. The service was good and so was the food. I can't give any raving reviews for either but I can't say anything bad. It was average and convenient. I had the spring rolls and Kaprow with chicken.... More

The ThaiTanic is a small, unpretentious restaurant with terrific food beautifully and artistically presented. We loved the chicken satay, with one of the best sauces ever, and the drunken noodles.

What a meal, this was the best meal we have had since being in Washington. The service was great and the food better. Every dish we had was lovey, we had 3 entrée and 3 mains and all great. To finish off we had the fried banana and ice cream. Wow what a way to finish

I visited this restaurant while in DC for a conference and this was the best Pad Thai that I have had in years! If you have time, while in DC, stop by and enjoy some great Thai food!

Enjoyed a great vegetarian meal while in DC on business. Take out order was prepared very quickly and was fresh, hot , and spicy!

We were staying in an apt around the corner from this place and were craving Thai food so we stopped in one night for dinner. It was about 7:30 and there were a decent amount of people inside. It's not super fancy inside, but not casual like just a take out place. My husband got one of their cocktails and... More

It's hard to go wrong at this long-established, family restaurant. This place delivers a generous menus of Thai favorites with consistent high quality and friendly quick service. With a reasonably priced menu, Thai Tanic offers great value and delicious Thai food. But be warned: This is Thai food and it's often spicy!

I love Thai food, and I seek it out whenever I travel. Luckily, my host at a local B&B told me about Thai Tanic, and after dining there last week I totally understand why it was voted #1 Thai Restaurant in D.C. The prices are reasonable, the ambience and service is just great, and the FOOD is just outstanding!

Thai Tanic has been on the 14th St. corridor much longer than its current status as a hot spot. They serve classic and solidly-prepared Thai food. They have a variety of wines and cocktails available. You cannot go wrong with an appetizer of chicken satay and one of their curries. Their fried rice is outstanding. We like a combo of... More
