A hobby that my family have is trying to find a restaurant that had been featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. So on our first trip to DC thought we would give this one a shot. Guy has never steered us wrong before (until now). Mediocre bar food at best. Don't waste your time.

My husband found the Tune Inn last summer when he was in town. I'm so happy I finally got to eat here. What a great hidden gem near the Capitol. The service, food and drinks were wonderful and totally affordable. Can't wait to go back!

There are a ton of options for good food in downtown DC, but not as many that are good affordable. My daughter and I ended up there late on evening. It was very casual, we sat ourselves. The waitress is super friendly and efficient. The chili was great! The fish and chips was great! People were just hanging out and... More

Just a little over a block from the Capitol Hill Hotel so I bought some food to go - chicken fingers and fries for my 14 yr old (delicious) and buffalo salad for me (spicy delicious). Service was good but a bit slow to retrieve my order but I wasn't in a rush - no worries! I would eat here... More

Went to this local bar because of tv show diners drive inns and dives. I sat at the bar. Sloppy joe was good. Beer cold have been colder. Susan the waitress was very friendly and you could tell she's been there a long time. She wasn't waiting on be but I had a 30 second conversation with her. Super nice.... More

The french toast was delicious... my sandwich was fine. I wish there was another option for a side dish other than fries... It was nice to sit down in the AC for a while...

This is a "dive bar" or tavern right by the Capital Building. It serves typical bar food and is reasonable in price. The service was quick and the food decent. It makes for a quick lunch and a nice break from the Washington heat. My daughter and husband had a cheese burger and I had a turkey sandwich, The turkey... More

Definitely a dive bar, with food and surrounds to match, but there's a place for that, eh? I was there for the deep-fried hamburger, because where else am I going to find one of those? (Don't tell me -- my coronary arteries request that I not do this again.) The patty was a generous size, seemed to have been formed... More

The food was excellent! I have stopped in here 4 times now and I have never been disappointed! Try the burger or the french toast! Too many dishes to list!

The Tune Inn is the most fun place on Capitol Hill. There are all kinds of animal heads on the wall, including deer, a deer rear end, a jackalope, and a bear holding a beer. It's OK pub food. Booths in the back, and a nice big bar with a friendly/gruff bartender. Locals love this place. Tourists should see it.
