Popped on as my friend thought there was live music, but not last night! So instead we had a drink or two, chatted in a great barbefore moving on again. If we come back to DC this place will be high on the list!

The atmosphere at this little pub is great. It's a comfy no frills bar with plenty of room. Unfortunately, the evening that we went there was an issue with the electricity and the A/C and upstairs lights were not working. The drinks were good and we, nevertheless, had fun. The entertainment, however, left something to be desired. We stayed to... More

This is for those who haven't. It's a saloon. A SALOOOON. Ight! It's good bar food, good drinks cheap and the place has a District history all the other tony, scratched chrome near the Hill joints frontin' bijou gaijin booty shakin' show-tenders can never catch up with. The one-star topic drifting mob mavens electing here wantin' to get famous can... More

Good food, fair prices. They have a beer of the month for a fair price as well. The portions are huge. Mostly too much for us Europeans. :)

The people who work there are super nice but the food is "meh". The iced tea tastes especially weird. I wish it were better because nice people should have good things happen to them

Asked for a vegan meal. Said it wasn't the restaurants "culture" to serve that. Cool, can you just take out this and this? No because it's pre-made (can bought etc) so the food wasn't even freshly made from scratch. Gave me the option of pasta marinara. I asked for a side of broccoli.. Which, even after explaining I was allergic... More

Aimee, Thanks for the review. Even though I can understand your frustration, I politely disagree with your overall rating. Yes, we are a classic comfort food restaurant, and we don't have many vegan selections mainly due to the fact that we rarely get a request for them. But we do use fresh ingredients for our food. I think you're misunderstanding... More

Decent value, but the food was pretty average. The fried chicken was on the dry side, and tasted of old frying oil. The mac and cheese was just a pasta tossed in a cheese sauce. Little bit disappointing/...

A warm and cozy spot on a cold, windy night. I suppose a number of persons have arrived early for a movie near the restaurant. The person at the front door and the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was early with few other people there. Beverages and then dinner arrived promptly. It was a 1/2 price burger... More

My first time in this establishment there were a bunch of college students drinking champagne and taking shots. I was told I was rude when I said, 'can you please excuse me the restroom is behind you'? There were 3 of us, we were having a conversation between us at the bar and a few college kids kept in putting.... More
