The bar was doing great business, so I assume the sangria is good. The food was pretty weak, however. Paella was overcooked and dry, crab cakes were mushy, canelloni (I forget the Spanish name for this tapas dish) was bland. Also, the air conditioning was overtaxed and there were no fans to compensate: it was a pretty forgettable meal eaten... More

I come here every time I am in DC. It's a little taste of Spain that I can't get back in CT. I've only ever attended happy hour: the sangrias are great (Blanca, tinta, and mango I've tried) as are all the tapas except for the pan a la Catalan (it's ok, but nothing like the real thing).

It is a great place to taste the traditional Spanish "Taps". Location is easy to find. The portions are relatively small, so consider that when ordering the dishes.

Wow - this place was great. It was my husband's favorite meal during our whole trip to DC. We got there during happy hour, where they had a limited menu of tapas for $4.50. Their full menu looked great, but we couldn't beat the happy hours deals! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. My husband's favorite was the mussels... More

We went here to meet a friend for some HH drinks and small bites. I think La Tasca has been crowded every time I’ve been there (a positive sign.) La Tasca has my favorite HH in the Chinatown area. The sangria is great, and reasonably priced. Their HH tapas are surprisingly delicious, and extremely low priced. This is a great... More

We enjoyed the two for $14 lunch special while out sightseeing one day, which was a good value for the area. It was the perfect amount of food. We left satisfied but not stuffed! The taste and presentation were both excellent, but service was lacking in any warm and fuzzies.

This was a great restaurant! We ordered many different tapas and they were absolutely delicious! I've been to Spain a number of times and the tapas were just like in Spain.

It was our second time there and we loved it. The food is very very good. No disappointment in any of the tapas that we ordered. The place is big and if it gets packed I am sure it can get noisy but we didn't encounter that. The best deal is the brunch deal on the weekends. 30.00 per person.... More

We really enjoyed the food- we had the Tasca recommended tapas and really enjoyed them. Wait staff was efficient and friendly. We were there on a Wed night and it was very noisy with after work crowd. Difficult to talk.
