Great night in DC, party of 5. We made a reservation on open table. We started with the wings and the peppers as an appetizer. So good! I had the steak burger with fries, son had baby back ribs and my daughter had salmon. Food...was excellent and so was the service. I would recommend to anyone visiting the DC area.More

Firefly is conveniently located near Dupont Circle and is close to many area hotels, including the St. Gregory, where we were staying. The exterior is nothing to write home about, but inside they have a tree with lots of white lights (like fireflies) and lights...that spread out like branches. It's warm and a little unusual, which we liked. Our service was friendly and plainly wanted us to enjoy ourselves, which we did. We were here for brunch. One of our party was a little late due to Metro construction, and they were very accommodating. The French Toast and eggs Benedict were particularly good. So was the triple brie omelet, which had a more subtle flavor. We're not big brunch eaters, but this was a nice place to meet friends with great service and a tasty breakfast.More

I hosted a private dinner here last night and it was spectacular. The restaurant is intimate but doesn't feel cramped, The menu features classics like Steak Frites which Firefly elevates with an amazing bernaise sauce and truffle fries. And, the Mac and Cheese is simply...decadent and the brussels sprouts will leave you wanting to lick the plate. The overall atmosphere is convivial and the staff are friendly and attentive.More

We ate breakfast at Firefly with a group of 17 people. With limited staff they made sure we enjoyed ourselves and the food was awesome. Enrique, of which we only needed one, was a fantastic server!

This place has an excellent atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly. The food full of flavor and great tasting!!!! This is the best part. The portions are scandolous! Braised beef ribs give you about 4oz of meat with a large part of fat, over...a small dollop of mashed potatoes and 3 small carrot halves. NO NO NO. For the cost this portion should be double what is given. I realize there is a higher cost in DC but this was unacceptable. Couple dinner with $14-15 specialty drinks about 6floz in size before the waiter spilled some during his walk and hand off and I will not return. It is a shame such a great place with good service and excellent flavor is so overpriced. There are many many other places in the city to experience and I suggest doing so unless you have money to burn.More

We enjoyed some avocado toast here with tea and waffles on our first visit to DC. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was good.

D.C. is filled with places to overpay for Mimosas and expensive brunch fare, and Firefly is one of them. A friend and I met here for Brunch before visiting the Phillips; she ordered the Eggs Benedict and I, the Fried Chicken Sandwich. We shared a...Mimosa carafe; comparatively speaking the ratio of bubbly to OJ was higher than at other locales, always a plus. Perfectly ordinary Benedict with "terribly dry Proscuitto" was my friend's description of her meal. My Fried Chicken Sandwich was just that, a well-seasoned, breaded and fried chicken breast on a roll. Crispy? Yes. Flavorful? Yes. Worth $16? No. But that's not the point, is it? It's Brunch in Dupont Circle, after all.More

We came on a Friday night with reservations. The atmosphere is really fun and the staff was extremely pleasant. The night we came, they were out of the burgers :( We ordered truffle fries and brussel sprouts for appetizers. I had corn chowder and my...companions had chicken wings and the shrimp and grits. It was all delicious. Highly recommend!More

The food is good, but the price does not match it's quality. Service was so-so. The kids loved the cookie experience.

Not necessarily, although always a good idea. Usually they can seat a couple, although during the busy period between 6 and 7:30, it could be tough. Four or more guests, always worth calling ahead.
