I have eaten at lots of Irish/Scottish pubs. This one is my favorite in the DC area. The food is great. The food and drink selection above average. The bartenders have all been friendly without being intrusive. It is a pretty classic Irish pub! When...More

Stumbled on this place. Was looking for a place for drinks and lunch. Saw the Irish bar and had to go in. Best decision. Very eclectic... little nooks and crannies... such a great vibe. Super nice staff. Highly recommend!

Cozy bar. Good service, and pretty good food. I don’t recommend their Rueben sandwich, however — have eaten much better.

This is one of my favorite Irish Pubs in the city. They have really great specials on drinks. The shepherds pie and old fashioned are a cant miss here. Highly recommend this spot for a pre and post drink if attending a Capital One arena...More

With an expansive drinks menu, this establishment was open late even on a Monday night and provided a more than serviceable venue for after-hours socializing among colleagues.

Fado has always been a great destination for drinks and food. It's close to Gallery Place Metro, is pretty large, and has a comfy atmosphere. The food is very good and reasonably priced. And, unlike many bar/restaurants, your food is served HOT, not lukewarm. Irish-influenced...More

As a tourist I fancied an Irish bar with a friendly atmosphere and good food - unfortunately I got neither. Upon entering the bar the barman was not very welcoming but I thought I'd stick with it - bad move. The waitress (an older lady...More

Yes, there shouldn't be an issue because this is also a restaurant and I have seen families with under age children in Fado's having a meal.
