Very convenient to local attractions, offices and hotels. The pub seems genuine Irish right down the the Irish accent by the bartender! Good food, Irish beers and great atmosphere.

Stopped in after long day at the Zoo with my family plus one and everyone had a tasty dinner. Toasted pita chips and hummus, jalapeño cheese puffs, bacon cheese burgers, pear salad and chicken tenders. Add to that a Harp and a local DC brew and it was a fine dinner. Prices are reasonable and service was prompt and attentive.... More

We asked around about Irish Pubs when we got to town because we "collect" them as a travel hobby. We visited several while in town, this one 4 times. The thing that kept us coming back was the staff (we're now on a first name basis with 6 of them), the food and the beer. In that order. Not to... More

Our second time at Fado and we had some appetizers, which were on Happy Hour. I had the sliders and as busy as the place was (Peter Gabriel & Sting concert pre-gamers!) they were the best hamburgers I'd had in a while. As if someone actually took care to have them come out perfectly grilled, not just slapped together. The... More

My husband and I were in DC for the day and were looking for a place to eat and watch the Germany/Italy game. We chose Fado because of it's close proximity to the museums (less than a mile walk) and loved it! Excellent service, delicious good and a fun environment to watch the game. We had the hummus with veggies... More

First day in the US, had to see the Irish v France match in Euro2016, headed to Fado with 4 kids in tow. Great brunch, the hangover sandwich was the best. Good view of match, great atmosphere, but who let in all the French supporters!!!!

When planning our trip to DC, my daughter specifically looked for an Irish Pub near our hotel (Marriott Marquis) because my son was going with us and he has enjoyed Irish pub food ever since a trip to Ireland a few years ago. After checking into the hotel, we made the short walk (.4 mi) to Fado Irish Pub. Others... More
