I have been wanting to check out this legendary place in town where every President since Truman(?) has visited, and where JFK proposed to Jackie. Yesterday with friends from out-of-town, we walked right in and said wow. The Tavern is quite dark and smaller than imagined, but immediately transported us back to eras past. We asked to be seated at... More

This is a small and cozy restaurant located in the nice neighbourhood of Geogetown, with its history because some US Presidents used to be clients. The food is very good and has a good variety of dishes as well as wines and beers.

This pub has a great vibe! From the moment you walk in the door the staff welcome you as a party of one i was immediately seaed - at a table yay not the bar! Drink ordered straight away and had fhe famous cheeseburger - did not disappoint.

The ambience can't be beat and food was amazing and I am picky, picky, picky. Try the crab sandwich and bread pudding for sure.

The food was good but everything else was dissapointed ting. Very busy and hectic .. Very touristy ... People standing around waiting To be seated whilst you eat ...very noisy. Booths are best option since you feel slightly segregated from all the madness. This place is a victim of its own popularity ...

This is an old school place, legendary, with great pictures and a lot of history (and the food is pretty good too!)

Surprisingly for a pub, they are very accommodating for gluten free. As someone with celiac this can often be a problem when dining out but it was no problem here. The atmosphere is super charming and has a lot of great character. Our waiter was incredibly nice and everyone in our party said that their food was excellent (we were... More

Well if you want to know the history, look it up. The JFK proposal to Jackie, Nixon, LBJ, Bill Clinton, they all dined there and contributed to the history. Each had a special table too. The food is decent I've had a better Delmonico but not with the atmosphere mixed in to the environment. Its in Georgetown, try it out... More

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I went there tonight for my birthday dinner and was sorely disappointed. Our server, Zakariae, was inattentive and downright rude-- he never made eye contact and pretty much ignored us the whole night. I ordered the house salad with caesar dressing and the chicken fettuccine, my friend ordered the house salad with blue cheese dressing and chicken... More
