If you come to dc and 'stay out late', The Diner is a great place the next morning to eat. The food is always great, the service can be hit or miss, but the atmosphere is always busy. The lines can be long at times so if you are going for breakfast or brunch keep that in mind. Its a... More

The Diner is a neighborhood spot frequented local Adams Morgan residents. Situated smack in the middle of 18th Street NW, it also attracts a good number of late revelers from adjacent popular watering holes. The food is unpretentious. Opt for high turn over staples like burgers and pancakes. The Cobb salad is fresh and comes with generous pieces of tender... More

First restaurant ever that we've found Gluten Free pancakes. Our son with celiac was in heaven. Everyone else had wonderful meals for brunch. Reasonably priced for the food and service!

Came here for dinner with my family. I had the Diner Royale which is their breakfast sampler and it was grade A. My family all had lunch and dinner options and were pleased with what they ordered as well. Large menu with alcohol and shakes offered also. Friendly staff and great coffee. Recommend if you're on this side of town.... More

I really liked the French Toast it was the best I ever had . They give you so much food. It was really good. Nicole was our server and she was amazing. Prices are reasonable and you get a lot for the money.

First of all, each staff member offered friendly greetings as we entered. They were engaging and as we learned very efficient. Never did we wait for refills, even though the restaurant was very busy. The food was superior, well prepared and as ordered. We had a Kale salad and asked to have it topped with a burger patty, no problem.... More

In DC for business reasons but had an evening on my own. Decided to walk around and have dinner wherever it looked nice, The Diner surpassed any expectation I could have had. The crispiest chicken and bacon on the house-biscuit was a beast of a starter, and the peri peri shrimps on avocado and couscous carpet were the best thing... More

We came two seperate times and had two seperate experiences. The first time was for Happy Hour (Yes I said Happy Hour..at a Diner). Happy Hour was great, studded with margaritas, domestic and imported beer, mimosas, nachos, burgers, wings, tacos etc . The music was primarily Top 40, which was fine because it seemed like everyone go to hear "their"... More

Stopped in while the wife got her nails done nearby. Greeted fast, food was good, and server was very friendly. Nothing fancy, this is a diner. But I enjoyed the burger and beer. They did forget my pretzel bytes and the kitchen left an item on that the ticket said (no onions). Minor dings when the burger was excellent. Enjoy.... More
