We were staying in the hotel, we had two nights of dinners, everything we had was excellent. The service is excellent and the staff are wonderful.

We stayed at the Kimpton George and the Bistro bis is in the hotel. Top service every morning for breakfast. Eggs Benedict recommended. And the Salmon - they were prepared to make the dish to order as a smaller meal was preferred. Enjoyed a special dinner on our last evening. Memorable were the traditional French Onion Soup and the wonderful... More

Over the last few years I have gone to Bistro Bis when I am in DC. I recently dined her with my wife, her first time to dine here. We loved the decor and the restaurant is always full of people having a pleasant evening. We shared the salad panache, my wife had the lobster bisque and I had the... More

We enjoyed a group dinner with choice of Salmon, Steak or Vegetarian fare. The salads were nicely tossed - altho not uniform in amount in each salad. The Steak was divine-- melt in your mouth. The garnishes were nice - 2 asparagus spears, potatoes and onions. The desert also was top notch. The waiter had a bit of trouble getting... More

We spent five days in Washington DC and loved the city. On our last night had a special dinner at Bistro Bis.Probably a little more than a bistro down the Capitol end of town.Ambience ok and the food was exceptional. The escargot fricassee were really a pleasure and the steak cooked to perfection. The octopus starter and scallops were also... More

We stayed in a nearby nice hotel with unsuitable dining, and went late for a dinner. We were pleasantly surprised at the very good food, presentation, and total experience for our late dinner. We decided that we had to come the next night, after an earlier cocktail hour meal at a University, to have a nice experience at the end... More

We had an excellent dinner at Bistro Bis, adjacent to The George Hotel. One of the appetizer specials was foie gras torchon with a nut brittle, which was delicious. My girlfriend wanted to order an entree special of snapper, but they were out of it. But, our server found that they could include the sides, along with cod from the... More

the service and food were great, though there was not a huge selection on breakfast menu. No complaints as I drank mimosas. If youre hoping to run into members of Congress, try breakfast here on a weekday. It's a quick walk from the Capitol.

This is a lovely French restaurant in the George hotel which is very popular with the business crowd and open to non residents. The food is delicious and the service attentive.

I am in D.C. for one night on a business trip and wanted to catch up with a dear, old friend, who is also a foodie. First, this restaurant is adjacent to a Kimpton Hotel and I've never had a bad meal at a Kimpton. My friend had fresh snapper and I had the sweetbreads. My sweetbreads were perfectly prepared...
