This place serves foods of combination from Turkish, Greek and Lebanese tastes. It is interesting that they are written in their original languages on the menu. A combo menu per person is usually advised by the waiters but the amount is rather for a couple. Order a combo even for three or four people at the beginning and add more... More

This restaurant was recommended by friends. On arrival I was surprised at how large this restaurant is and yet it was packed. The service couldn't be faulted and the quality of the food was very good. For the price the servings were very small and the noise levels were high which would be my only criticism. Having said that we... More

I'd never been to this restaurant before but had heard wonderful things. So glad I finally gave it a try. Food was absolutely delicious and the freshly prepared pita bread kept coming before we even knew we needed more. I left having tried many different things on the menu and feeling more than satisfied. We did our own tasting menu... More

Went here for dinner with a couple of friends. The place, Wednesday night, was packed. We had a managed to get a reservation. Service was good and food excellent. Mezze style and lots of small plates with bread - delicious. We had about 9 plates between the three of us and then finished off with two desserts between them -... More

A change from your typical business location is sharing small plates featuring innovative offerings from a middle eastern menu. A evening of good food, never ending variety and great environment and food.

Ate dinner at Zaytinya this evening. This restaurant is an upscale place not far from the Washington Mall. Food is mostly small plates, Mediterranean style food. Their dips are delicious, as are most of the other dishes we had. Make a reservation beforehand as they are always busy. Highly recommend this place.

First of all, I am not a fan of Tapas (I suppose this is a Middle Eastern form of Tapas).....mainly because it is very expensive, and I always leave hungry! So if you are a fan of small plates or if you just want a drink and snack, this is quite a buzzy place in downtown DC that is perfect... More

Shortly after being seated, one of the first things that our server explained to us was that Zaytinya serves small plates and the food is served when ready (in no particular order). In general, I like the concept of small plates with the ability to sample a variety of different foods. And, the prices at Zaytinya were reasonable for the... More
