The Front Page DC, opened in 1985, has been serving DC's socialites for decades! We pride ourselves on prompt, friendly service, excellent food, long happy hours, and bountiful brunches. We have won DC's best happy hour and voted TOP 10 spots to Brunch. We have been known for our affordable pricing, including our famous $9 lunch specials. We offer insane specials including our half priced burger nights with trivia on Tuesdays and our biggest night of the week...Taco Thursday's with a free taco bar starting at 5 pm and $2 Coronas. The Front Page has always been family owned and operated, and we have always treated our restaurants like our home. We welcome you to our restaurant, and we hope you feel like you are home while you are here. Cheers, Alex Heidenberger

Excellent Service

Had dinner here and really enjoyed the meal. I had the steak with vegetables and it was done well. The real treat however was the excellent service provided by the waitress. Very pleasant and professional.

We came here Saturday (1/30) afternoon/evening for a few drinks on our way home. Huge mistake. It was located right next to the metro. About the only positive thing I can point out. When we went in we went directly to the bar. It took the bartender at least five minutes to even say hello to us. In the total... More

This place was fine back in the day. It's currently run down and in need of an update. There aren't many bars right in the area, so it will likely always be around, but they should try to step it up!

I went out with some friends to happy hour and got the fish tacos. Other than the Pike Place Market in Seattle, they were the best Ive ever had! One star deducted because I had a hard time getting the waiter to split the receipts correctly.

I had lunch there. They had the most delicious beef stew. The service was first class. The restaurant was not even noisy - imagine that. They had a key lime torte that will live in my memory a long time - just great. All for a modest price.

We enjoyed our first dinner here so much that we visited again later in the week. This interesting establishment also has the "front pages" of newspapers from important historic events mounted on its walls--hence the restaurant name. It also has the advantage of being open late at night. Therefore, after a concert, play, or event, one can stop in here... More

The food is great and it's within walking distance of so many attractions...you hardly need a car in DC anyway.

When we arrived a large and noisy crowd was already there. However we were able to be accommodated in a much quieter area more suited to conversation. Both the service and food were very good. The walls are adorned with front pages of newspapers from historical moments in history - would have enjoyed having more time to peruse them.

In desperation for finding a brunch spot and not seeking out the ever-evolving list of new spots in DC, I decided to take my out of town guests to a location that I can always rely on. The Front Page was a place I knew had great food, great location (despite parking), and sometimes great service. Yesterday, Sunday, 10/11/15 was... More
