Ate here on a whim as It looked like a good Old Authentic American diner. That's about as authentic as it gets. You find and seat yourself and a Grumpy old waiter comes and thrusts an old (heavily edited by tip ex) menu into your hand choices are ok includes all The standard American breakfast items but coffee isn't included... This restaurant is located in Union Station, Washington DC. Very convenient when you have time to kill before catching a train. It is a seat yourself diner which I loved. The atmosphere is that of a diner from the 1950's/1960's. They also played music from that time period which was great. In my opinion, the music back then is far... More

Our food was dry and tasteless. Definitely not fresh ingredients. The noise level was crazily high - impossible to have a normal conversation.

Haven't been too impressed with Rocket's elsewhere, and this one isn't that great either. The food is good. Service was good.

Visited here on a Sunday evening. Pretty busy place but was waited on quickly. Ordered a classic burger with everything, french fries and a Coke. Received my fries first then a couple minutes later my burger. The food was good, hot and fresh. Portion size was just average, but filling. Nothing really spectacular. The burger cost around $8. A bit... More

Excellent service at Union Station branch. Food was served quickly. Portions were fair and atmosphere was very USA.

I was in town for an early meeting and went in for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to find a 3 egg omelet with 3 ingredients, potatoes and toast for under $7. Excellent.

Decided to try a malt to go with food produced at another restaurant. Told wait person I wanted to order a malt but he said I could not eat food from another restaurant. So I went to the counter & ordered a chocolate malt. It was a bit over $5 and average, at best.

Crowded and noisy, but just what you expect from the retro-maltshop. Simple menu but good quality, and generally historically correct. Had a grandson in tow this visit, so had to explain some of the menu options and the Nickelodeon devices at the counter ("Really, you can pick a song that everyone else has to listen to? Why did it just... More

I used to come here with a coworker. We would order burgers, fries, onion rings, and milk shakes. The prices are high for what you get. The burgers are so greasy that the bottom bun is soaked in grease. I love French fries and onion rings but they come all broken with oil all up on the inside. For you... More
