One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Perfect steak maison! My family treasures this place. Ambience value and service can't be beat!

Bistrot du Coin is located within a few blocks of the Dupont Circle Hotel where I stay when I am in Washington. Great menu. so many enticing things it was hard to chose. Very attentive and friendly wait staff. It is the type of place where everyone appeared to be having a very good time.

We go to DC every year and this is on our list every time to dine at. Bistro Du Coin came as a recommendation and now we pass it along. If you didn't know where it was you'd walk by it -- it is very cute inside, very French in its setting with tables on top of each other. Please... More

Difficult to beat the casual/family atmosphere cum tasty French bistrot cuisine. This is my neighborhood hangout and I am never disappointed. Last night I had mussels marinière- super fresh , not overcooked, with the Bistrot's legendary fries. Washed this all down with an excellent and affordable Vacqueyras, à Cote du Rhône . My friends had the onglet steak, another staple... More

Walked past the place for two nights. It was packed. Recommend having an early dinner there. Great bistro food. Loved the filet.

We arrived at 4 PM on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Open air seating available and tempting, but at least 1 too many tables for the space. We enjoyed the oyster stew (daily special) and the foie gras as appetizers, with main courses of ravioli homardine and Cassoulet du Bistrotier. The wines recommended by our waiter paired well with... We stopped by for dinner and it was packed and had about an hour waiting list for a table. We decided to go to the bar, order a drink and eat there as we were 2. Food was absolutely beautiful. The lamb was perfectly cooked! Delicious!

I had a fabulous dinner at Bistrot Du Coin. An easy walk from the Dupont Circle Metro, this spot is charming with the feel of a low-key French bistro one would find in Paris vs. the over-hyped, fancy, stuffy ones often found on this side of the pond. The service was superb, and the food FANTASTIC. It also came out... More

We have dined at this restaurant many times, and always enjoy the boisterous, fun, casual atmosphere and great, friendly service. That having been said, the dishes served seem to be hit-or-miss. At times the Tartine Parisienne has been delicious, at others it has been made with a different ham and not tasty at all. On one occasion the Petite Fricassee... More

Really enjoyed a lovely meal in this fun, relaxed spot. Reminded me a great deal of bistros in Normandy I've enjoyed in the past. I highly recommend the escargot and French onion soup. The "traditional" curry mussels were truly delicious. We sat upstairs next to the edge of the balcony which was a treat to watch the hub bub below... More

Description
Bistrot du Coin opened its doors on Memorial Day of 2000 by Yannis Felix and Michel Verdon. The motto is French, Fun and Friendly, this is our guideline to bring you the best experience ever at Bistrot Du Coin. The word Bistrot is defined in French as a neighborhood restaurant where you can eat good food at a fair price. The typical color of a French Bistrot is pale yellow to brown (otherwise known as Bistre) because the walls used to get dirty quickly from nicotine. Bistrot Du Coin is also known for its parties, three times a year to celebrate famous French events such as Bastille day on July 14th, The Beaujolais Nouveau on the third thursday of November or The New Year's Eve.
