I really liked the ambiance of this spot. There was a great accordion player. The beef goulash & red cabbage were tasty. The store in front of the restaurant had lots of fun German (& other) goodies.

I remembered a charming restaurant from years ago, but when I stopped by for a pastry on my walk back from the National Mall it was a deli. I didn't see the cafe that I remembered, but reading other reviews I see that it was in the back and I missed it. Anyway, I ordered a Sacher torte and ate... More

A bit hard to find but worth it. Some of the best service we've had in DC. We were there for lunch where they offer both specials and a regular menu were offered. My husband had a delicious braut sandwich with red cabbage and German potato salad. My choice was a Reuben. Delicious! Tasty rye grilled perfectly. Generous portions as... More

This was a nice place to come for a friendly visit. The food was good, atmosphere was quiet, and these ice was excellent. This trip was more about visit than the food but it was an all around good experience. If you like bratwurst and potato pancakes then come take a gander.

One on my favorite stops when in town for a meal. Authentic grub with nice selection of beer and wine, and don't forget the strudel for desert there or back to the hotel. You will love the accordion music and the people.

We visited Cafe Mozart on a Saturday night hoping to avoid the weekday traffic in Washington, D.C. Although the traffic was minimal, the restaurant was a bit difficult to find and even worse finding a place to park. We finally parked about 3 blocks away and used WAZE to find our way back to the restaurant. We were greeted by... More

This is a GREAT place! When we walked up we saw a deli and were a little cautious. But at the back of the deli is the restaurant and it is a hidden gem. Great menu that is FULL of selections. Good wine list too. The restaurant is very small and the back room has a piano player which really... More

We had dinner at Café Mozart after a co-worker recommended it. I had the Viennese Beef Goulash (WIENER RINDS GOULASCH) and my dinner guest had a special of the day consisting of a pork cutlet on a potato pancake. I’ve had goulash all over Europe, and this was lackluster but decent goulash. I wouldn’t go out of my way for... More

We went there based on a search for best German in DC. Glad we did. It is a little weird having to walk through the grocery part to get to the restaurant but the food is great. I had the sausage sampler. It comes with kraut, red cabbage, and potato salad and 5 types of sausage. Excellent meal. Brat was... More

We were looking for something different for dinner, and this delightful German cafe exceeded our expectations. Wurst, spaetzle, red cabbage and potato salad were delicious accompanied by a delicious Mosel Reisling. Service was excellent. There was even accordion music.
