Best neighborhood restaurant we have visited, including more than 43 countries. Oysters fresh and tasty. Fish fresh, cooked to perfection with sauces on a 2 or 3 star Michelin. Craft beers well chosen. Veggies had a piquant flavoring to die for, Our waitress was funny,...charming, non-intrusive, quite accurate and greeted us warmly when we returned for another meal. Oh, by the way she was accurate. The bar has a grand antiquity from Europe worthy of the Metropolitan Museum in NY. This is a find.More

Despite being understaffed that night, the service was excellent. Tony (hope the name is right) was bartender but also serving our table and another. Somehow he managed to do it all at once and not appear harried. He explanations of the fish were helpful and...when I wanted Haddock but not the fried offering on the menu, he quickly said they could saute it with butter and lemon. It was beautifully cooked. My husband had Artic Char, a fish he'd never heard of but enjoyed. Katie, the manager, raced around the restaurant apparently taking care of everything; yet she had time to stop and chat with us. It's a small restaurant with a nice ambience. We would definitely eat there again if in the area.More

The food was excellent, my husband’s fried red snapper was crispy outside and tender, not over–cooked inside. His french fries were delicious. I had the oysters, can’t go wrong there, and the crabcakes as entrée and it is their weakest food, not that big, not...that delicious. The decor and ambience is warm and pleasant, as were the servers—warm and pleasant. Service was excellent and efficient. Too bad I am leaving tonight or I would eat there again.More

We are visiting in D.C. and chose Grillfish to celebrate a birthday. What a lovely evening! All four entrées and all four desserts were delicious, and the service from Tina was attentive, helpful and friendly without being overbearing. We enjoyed grilled salmon, seared scallops, grilled...rockfish and seafood pasta. The fish was all beautifully cooked and tastefully presented. We were delighted!More

Stopped by for their gluten free menu options. Service was outstanding, food was amazing. Our bartender Ryan was very friendly and very knowledgeable of allergies with the food handling. Strongly recommend this place.

We had the best server, Tina. She was attentive, helpful and full of great recommendations. Super food and very cool bar. Only complaint was how loud the place was. We will be back just perhaps in a quieter table,

In DC on vacation so wanted to treat the family to a really nice meal out. Picked Grill fish based on their online menu and walking distance from our hotel. Tina, our waitress, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was wonderful, a good variety to...suit all and atmosphere was relaxed so even though they were busy we didn't feel rushed. Would highly recommend it if you're in townMore

Wow!!! A must-do in D.C. for brunch. Two of us shared a giant seafood tower with chilled crab, shrimp, lobster, and fish. We had unlimited mimosas. After this feast it was nap time!

Tina took amazing care of my mom and I - my first time visiting DC in several years. She helped us narrow down the swordfish (cooked perfectly), which we split, and had that with the tomato garlic sauce. We did the sautéed spinach for the...seasonal greens, and the broccolini, also Tina recs. Started with a half dozen oysters and those were fine. We sat outside and enjoyed a great dinner. All in all a great experience with fantastic service. Ask for Tina.More

This is awesome seafood. Margarita was delicious! We had the rockfish entree and mussels for an app. Both were wonderful. The kale caesar was really excellent. Do not miss the risotto fritters. Everything was perfect. Also-carrot cake was an great way to top off the...meal. MAYA, our server was attentive with a welcoming smile, but also efficient and knowledgeable about menu choices. Ask for her section! Only negative was the decor needs a revamp.More

We went for an impromptu Valentine's Day dinner. The ambiance was very relaxing. The waiter Samaya provided great recommendation on all courses, which left us very satisfied and pleased with our dishes. I love risotto dishes and was very hesitant about the squid ink but...she provided confidence in her recommendation so I took the leap and ordered. I am so happy I went with the dish and still had plenty to take home for later. She also recommended the buffalo shrimp appetizer and calamari which were outstanding.More

My husband and I came here with my daughter and son-in-law for a birthday dinner celebration. The service was excellent. We started with calamari that was crisp and delicious. The Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio were perfect for toasting. The rockfish, swordfish, and Artic char were...excellent. We also really enjoyed our desserts of mango key lime pie and caramel cheesecake brûlée. The evening was even more special when my daughter’s chocolate brownie sundae was brought to the table with sparklers. This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely be back.More
