We stopped by Jaleo to compare its tapas with the real Spanish ones and although there is an important difference in size and price (smaller and more expensive in DC) the taste is very good. We tried croquettes (I am a Croquette monster), garlic shrimp, Spanish omelette, Chistorra and everything but the "olive that is not an olive but tastes... More

I have always been a big fan of Jose Andres and Jaleo is no exception. We had the most delicious set of 6 tapas, including patatas bravas, t bone lamb with a rich glaze and mash, fried green tomatoes with blue cheese beet salad with jeweled citrus, delicately simmered white beans with sauteed baby octopus, and deep fried softshell crab... The food here really is wonderful. There is so much to choose from - I honestly suggest looking up the menu online before you go to the restaurant to get some ideas. You really can't go wrong with any dish. Whether you want the tapas or have a paella for the table, Jaleo's got it. We ordered all of our... More

Me and my friends visited this place on weekends. It's better to reserve in advance on weekends in D.C. The food was excellent. My friend who had a dairy allergy was provided a separate menu. Our waiter was really good and had a good knowledge about the food. The service was little slow otherwise rest everything was perfect.

Very unique restaurant! From the tables to the bathroom, the decorative atmosphere to this restaurant was very creative. We came with a big group and sat at a foozeball dining table sharing delicious tapas. Would definitely recommend this cuisine!

Our server was a nice guy buy he was having an off night I think. Forgot our drink order and one of our plates, which was kind of annoying. But have to say the food is excellent. We had 2 vegetarian plates and 2 seafood plates, they were all amazing. We'd definitely go back.

Just love this place. We are in DC for a month and we would eat here every night if we could. It's such an imaginative menu, lots of little tasting dishes and wonderful wines and cocktails. We particularly love the Jaleo twist on that old favourite a Gin and Tonic - makes it almost a new drink. The place is... More

I LOVED this restaurant. The food and service was amazing. I went for the first time in a large group of 35 and the size of our group did not compromise the experience or quality of the food. One last detail I really appreciated I noticed right before I left on my trip to the restroom. They have a nice... More

A much appreciated and sincere level of helpful service, lovely server and staff. The food was excellent, shrimps in a sauce was amazing and the Iberico tenderloin truly splendid, served with blue cheese and a rich tasty sauce. Compliments to the chef! The decor and tables are a bit 1985 though and it seemed untidy. However it's clearly popular because... More
