Me and my girl friends stumbled upon Jaleo after attending the Women's March. We were stunned by the delicious food, fantastic service (ask for Paula) and life changing Flan. This was truly a memorable and delicious meal. I can't recommend this more highly. Be sure to have a meal here. The chef Ramon is kind and charming. We are fans!!

The food here was pretty good. We had a selection of about 6-7 dishes and to be honest, it was all as described and tasty. We had a deep fried barracuda option with a garlic or aioli dip - can't remember which and that was really tasty! We also had a grilled tuna dish that was really delicious and fresh.... More

I can't believe this but they have a lunch special of a $10 sandwich that comes with salad or soup. BIG sandwich. And very flavorful as we'd expect from Jose Andres. How they do it, I don't know but it's amazing. I had roasted lamb on ciabatta. Several other options exist also.

The food is generally excellent. My favorite is a cauliflower with olives and dates, but there are so many wonderful dishes that it's hard to choose. Since these are tapas, the costs mount pretty quickly, which is why this isn't a 5 star rating. In the summer, there's a tomato menu and the winter has its annual clementine menu. Both... More

I've been going here since I lived in DC for a year in the mid 1990s. This restaurant by Chef Andres (and he has some great ones in DC) is a great place to go with a group, since you can try many things. They have standards like jamon, manchego, garlic shrimp, and patatas bravas, but also more adventurous items.... More

We enjoyed dinner here in late December and LOVED the experience. The restaurant itself has a great electric feel to it with bright modern colors and artistic design (like the bathroom sinks...you'll have to check them out for yourself!). Our orders came out in a timely & appropriate rhythm with excellent recommendations from our server. Due to the holiday week,... More

Large modern, casual, bordering on too loud music. Excellent, large menu of a variety of tapas. Attentive service. Good for casual dining although the price is a bit hefty for the casual dining environment- will need at least 3 tapas plates each

Jaleo was our family's choice for a nice dinner on a recent trip to Washington D.C. This is a tapas restaurant that was a lot of fun because it provides the opportunity to order a variety of Spanish dishes. Our waiter was very helpful and patient as we ordered several rounds of dishes - it seemed like we were intent... More

Went here for dinner on our first night in DC. Not only did they have a dedicated gluten free menu but you could also have a tasting menu designed specifically for gluten free. My partner in a coeliac, so we both enjoyed a GF tasting menu! It was absolutely amazing- had a range of dishes that took us through a... More
