Pricey, but worth it. Four of us had dinner before theater. I started with 6 raw oysters that were good but not the best I have ever had. Then I had sea bass with jerusalem artichokes and crab - very good. Others had scallops and...More

I found this restaurant while searching for outstanding dining in close proximity to my hotel and a conference with equally easy access for someone joining me from the local area. The unassuming exterior hides the remarkable dining experience at this restaurant. The food that we...More

Quiet, elegant restaurant where emphasis is on how the food should taste. Service is as it should be. Save room for desert.

My extended family and I go to Corduroy for special occasions. It's a quiet, beautifully designed room. There is excellent service and every item on the varied menu is beautifully presented and delicious. It's fine dining at a fair price. Starters and desserts are in...More

Our last night in Washington DC and went here for dinner based on the reviews and the proximity to our hotel. The atmosphere is nice but a bit overdone in terms of trying too hard: the lighting level was uncomfortably dark. The wait staff seemed...More

Met a friend for catching up... We enjoyed the food, but some of the items were not well described so they came as a surprise. Good wine list. Tea selection is limited and unknown by wait staff. Service is deferential.

Everything about Corduroy is perfect: the food is superb, the service better than any place I know, and the quiet and beautiful ambiance wonderful. It may not appeal to young people looking for a raucous dining experience. But for anyone looking for first-rate everything ---...More

Corduroy is just up the street from the Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis. It is a comfortable and quiet place serving very good food. The service is excellent and the seating for two is intimate. A tuna tartare was first rate and the scallops...More

We all really enjoyed our meal. The food was all really good which you would expect for the price but there were a few standout dishes - the lobster carpaccio and the scallops special were superb. The service was excellent and the ambience was nice....More
