The restaurant is located inside a town house. We had a private dining area and the food was exquisite. I had the Crab Blintz with Chayote Slaw - just yummy. The main course was the Beef Strip Loin and it was cooked to perfections. Also, the freshly baked bread should not be forgotten. Great evening. Nice atmosphere with wonderful service.

We recently dined for the second time at Corduroy, and again, it was first-rate. As before, we opted for the fixed price dinner for $30 per person upstairs at the bar. The fixed price menu includes starter, main dish, and dessert. This is an outstanding deal for DC fine dining, but it's only at the bar, and the bar isn't... More

Do not be put off by the rather bland atmosphere. The food and service is as good as I have found in DC and I have sampled 23 restaurants over the past 6 years. Three of us each had different meals and were blown away by the quality and taste. Wine list is superb and had my favorite vineyard --... More

This is a lovely small restaurant, with attentive and refined service. The food is very good too. I had a nice salad of asparagus, frisée and a poached duck egg with a light vinaigrette. My entree was salmon and warm potato salad. Everything was presented beautifully and had good flavor. Highly recommend!

Only a few times in my 50+ years has food brought tears to my eyes. The triple sorbet dessert with GRAPPA (my fave) was perfection. In-house made sorbet - strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry. Maybe it is because fruit is ripe now, but it was perfectly textured and so delicious. You want to savour the flavor in your mouth for as... More

- went for a business dinner recently - service was great - food & drink options were wonderful - is quite expensive FYI, expect $60-70 per person min. - lots of construction happening, so place is not easy to find

Order the Chef's surprise 5 course meal. You will not be disappointed. Make sure Byron takes care of you. It will be the best 2 hours spent enjoying food!

I had the privilege of being introduced to this restaurant this month at a professional conference. Rarely have I enjoyed a meal where every course was both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The cuisine is fine dining. This is not the place for those who are adventurous in their tastes. However, if you enjoy traditional American dishes (salmon, filet mignon,... More

First up, this isn't a cheap restaurant. So the hole in the tablecloth, the chipped water glass, and the little fly/insect in the complimentary prosecco/sparkly wine, along with the waiter who can't read cues on whether the patrons want to chat or not, and then the wait every time we ordered a drink (I get its coming from upstairs, but... Washington DC has amazing eateries, but this place was #1 for me. I'm a huge foodie and was referred to this place from a friend who grew up in DC. It's beautiful and a relaxing environment. The food was to die for. Literally every single thing I tried was perfect. We ate at the bar (even though we don't drink)... More
