After seeing The Palm being discussed on a show on the Food Channel we decided to give it a try. We particularly looked forward to trying the prime rib. We were seated in a nice area with an enjoyable view of the street (I presume this is open in warmer months), We were presented with bread, and were immediately disappointed... More

There is something quite infuriating about paying $200 for a meal and having ridiculously lousy service. That was our experience on Thanksgiving night. While the food was good and our brief interaction with other staff members was okay, our server was downright neglectful. He didn't seem to mind checking in on his other tables that held larger parties. He walked... More

Celebrating my wife's Birthday. Wanted to go someplace special. I like this place because it's fancy but casual at the same time. You don't need to wear a suit and tie but the the place offers "suit and tie" food. I ordered a "slightly smaller sized" Wedge to start. Very good. I went with the 18 oz. NY Strip (w/Brandy... More

I really enjoyed the overall experience at The Palm. Our server was personable, very attentive, and gave great recommendations. The food quality was outstanding, and the steaks were well prepared. The Palm also had an excellent wine list, and the waiter assisted with an excellent pairing for every course. I also enjoyed the ambience...very old school and elegant. The place... More

Great lunch spot for killer burgers or steaks. Super seafood salad here or a myriad of other options. All the food is exceptional. Always a great place to people watch as well. Not too stuffy like many other places. Fun and lively while still an impressive place to take an important client.

Great steaks and lobsters! Big portions -- Palm fries always a favorite. Good spot for Washington celebrity sightings. Tables in front not as loud if you need to discuss business.

This visit was a disappointment. Bad atmosphere, lack of interest. Reasonable food but not for that price. Service very, very quick far to fast. 2 course plus coffee in 50 minutes at $ 170,00.

We have been to several Palm restaurants in our travels. However, this time, we didnt order steak. Bill had the best lamb chops he has had anywhere, ever!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the veal martini. And, the staff were awesome, as expected!

This place is too noisy and service is below standard. The food is OK, but expensive, with most dishes in the US$50 range. The wine list is extensive but lacks good wines at decent prices (no good bottle below US$120). In the end, a regular meal without wine approaches US$100 per person. They don't even come close to 1/2 Michelin... More
