A classic, European dining experience, where you are made to fell like a special guest. With all the new, often large, "themed", buzzy restaurants, Obelisk is focused on the experience of food and wine. Nice environment, personalized service, creative cuisine with Italian foundation and ingredients. Having lived and traveled throughout Italy, this is reminiscent of those small intimate ristorante. Fix... More

Two New Yorkers came here on a recommendation from a work colleague and thank goodness we did. What a lovely experience, in every way. By far the most wonderful meal we had!! Everything was incredible. You will thank me for coming to this charming restaurant. Bon Apetit!

I had been meaning to try Obelisk for years and went with friends for a holiday dinner. First of all, the service was outstanding - friendly and helpful and set the right vibe for the evening. The 5 course menu was perfectly done and nicely proportioned. The ragu was outstanding. All in with drinks/wine it ended up feeling a bit... More

Dined here on election night with husband and friends. We were the only guests...a private restaurant. We were never made to feel that we were unwanted, exact opposite. Food was fantastic. An array of appetizers, followed by marvelous sweet potato ravioli. Then wagu beef, an assortment of cheeses, and flour less chocolate cake. Others had pasta with rabbit ragu, snapper... More

This is a an elegant place to dine. There is a refined changing menu which you can select one of three for "primi piatti", "secondi piatti" and desserts in addition to fixed assortment of small plates and cheese. You can leave the choice of wine for the plate you selected to your hostess for a fixed price of USD 50.-... More

If you don't mind little or no choice on the menu this is the best food in DC. Plus they're accommodating to vegetarians and other food preferences if you let them know in advance.

Had a very nice meal. Delightful appetizers started the meal with very interesting flavors followed by out of this world anchovy ravioli. Fish main course was good but not outstanding. Cheese course was nice and dessert was really good. Service was equal to the really, really good food.

While the service is outstanding and the atmosphere relaxing, the food is quite bland. The amount of food is generous, but the menu is very limited. Overall, a good experience but an expensive evening with food that is nothing special. Simply stated, overrated. With all the outstanding restaurants in the city, spend your money elsewhere.

This restaurant is a little gem if you appreciate fresh ingredients, creatively and expertly prepared. Cheese and dessert courses finish up the 5 course fixed price menu and perfectly topped off our meal. The antipasti to begin consisted of three or four small offerings, including burrata. The others were light, chilled vegetable dishes that accompanied the crusty bread and burrata.... More
