It was a 5 course menu at $85, wine paired $55. It might seems a bit expensive if you only look at it as a small old restaurant, but the quality & quantity of the food/wine paired is really superb. They served 3 small dishes as Antipasti, so it feels like more than 5courses, they made me fall in love... More

These folks know food. The preparations are creative. The presentations are simple. And the flavors are out of this world. Don't go when you are in a hurry. You need t to relax and appreciate what the chefs have been working on all day. If you enjoy wine, definitely go with their wine pairings. Each choice was perfect for the... More

We hadn't been here for a decade and were delighted to find the superb food and service even better than we remembered. No canned music; knowledgable waitstaff; every course memorable and served with excellent wine pairing choices. Reservations essential.

We were a party of four, spending nearly three hours starting at 7 pm for our five-course prix fixe dinners at Obelisk. It is a very small, northern Italian restaurant near DuPont Circle, but easy to miss: it has no sign, only a menu posted at the bottom of some spare stairs from the street. The menu changes daily. We... More

Have a chance to eat at a lot of good restaurants. This is in my top five for atmosphere, food, service and value. A true dining experience. Enjoy.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on the 29th March. It was superb. It was so good we returned for a second visit on the 30th. The food was a revelation. The surroundings simple, staff very attentive. Finally, it is expensive but worth it. EdwardDublin

I completed a rigorous training program at Georgetown University, and my brother (who lives in DC) made reservations at Obelisk which was the perfect place for a special celebration! We had five courses served to us, three of which we could choose between three menu selections. Every single thing was delicious. The extra long skinny bread sticks were so tasty... More

We had heard rave reviews about Obelisk for years but the reality was even better. Amazing and delightful dinner. Cannot wait to return.

We went for a family celebration knowing it was going to be expensive. You can easily miss it and it did feel you were climbing steps up into someone's kitchen I can only echo many other comments. Some of the starter dishes were superb, some were not so good and one, a mousse like dish was overly salted Most the... More

Interesting place with good service and extensive wine list---- but the food is expensive ($85 for a 5 course meal, one of which was (I think) a drink). Some parts were great-- I had a really excellent snapper and the cheese course was also good. . Other seemed lackluster--- we had a tagliatelle that seemed to have sat for a... More
