I got recomendation for this restaurant from concierge while staying in Grand Hyatt. I would say it's a great place for casual dinner for locals or people who is looking for peaceful place to eat... but not for young trendy European tourists who is looking for "special" and fun (I guess concierge recommended me what he liked himself, not what... The food is excellent. I've had duck breast there and a mushroom pasta and thought both were wonderful. I also love this restaurant because it has the nicest wait staff on the planet. The place is cozy. I've found tables in the back area quieter than those in the front room, but while it is sometimes noisy, it is still... More

Four of us had different dishes and could not decide which was the best. Wine list is impressive for a neighborhood restaurant. Prices were moderate considering the excellence of food and wine. Service was a little over-the-top friendly, not the norm in Italian places. If you want a break from the humdrum, without leaving the DuPont Circle area, you could... More

Had lunch with 2 friends and had a truly excellent meal. The ambiance is lovely and friendly. Food very tasty and the wine excellent. Not exactly cheap but worth a try for a special occasion. Would recommend it.

2 ate dinner, 2 joined us for dessert and coffee. Lobster bisque was delicious. No cream bisque, all lobster broth. Lobster linguine with tomatoes was good. Dover sole special with asparagus was perfectly prepared. Light and tasty. Various desserts -/ strawberry pie was very sweet, mango sorbet was superb, tiramisu was creamy and a good balance to the sweet strawberry... More

When we entered the restaurant, at least 4 people greeted us and made us feel like we were the most important people to ever enter that door. There were probably 3 or 4 servers working with our table to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. The food-whoa! Soft shell crab, freshly prepared with garlic, capers and butter... More

The chef greeted us at the door with some of the best waiters I've experienced in a while. They were super attentive and respectful of out time constraints. The menu was everything you'd expect from an authentic Italian Restaurant. We sat at George Clooney's special table at the back of the restaurant. My meal was delicious (lobster risotto) and the... It was worth coming here just for the appetiser of burrata with truffle chips and honey. The pasta mains my wife and I had (vongole linguini and mushroom pappardelle respectively) were mainstream Italian, but were beautifully cooked. Service was very good if a bit theatrical, but I guess that is part of the place's style. The restaurant is small and,... More

For a long time I tried to go there. A great place. Italian homey place and food at its best. Risotto, pasta, tiramisu... And a great wine list. valet parking available (recommended in the area) and a very professional service.
