Local friends took us here, saying it was great BBQ, and we found it to be very average. Cornbread was dry, side dishes were average, and the BBQ was good but nothing really special.

We stopped here for dinner on the recommendation of our hotel concierge and it did not disappoint! The BBQ beef brisket was so flavorful and tender, and the sweet potato fries were the best we've ever had!

I went in here whilst visiting Georgetown on holiday. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome! The food is AMAZING! You definitely need to come and try the food if you haven't already! Good value for money too! I tried all four meats in which they offered, and I was not disappointed! I particularly liked the chicken, and... More

We were staying in DC and decided to go into Georgetown rather than stay in the hotel, we were really glad we had. The restaurant is away from the waterfront which had bars but looked like I tourist trap, only a couple of blocks back it is in the Main Street and easy to find. We had a great waitress,... More

We were visiting Georgetown, and we had read really good reviews about this place, so we decided to check it out, not only for its food but also for their food but for their price. We ordered a full rack of bbq smoked ribs, which was delicious although it was a bit too spicy for us, and a G. Town... More

I went for lunch by myself and the staff quickly and efficiently found me a table, even though the place was quite crowded. However, the meal itself was a disappointment. I chose a full slab of ribs for $25 and while the serve was very large, the meat was tough and required a lot of effort to separate from the... More

Hi Kym, Thanks for sharing your feedback about your recent visit. I'm sorry to hear that you had a tough rack of ribs during your recent visit. Good burgers and good ambient. Nice music. Try the belly burger with the gold leaf lag beer. Good to hang out with friends or couple a Saturday night.

Great service (Emily) and excellent barbeque. Having visited the bbq meccas of Texas and Kentucky, Old Glory was right up there. The brisket was excellent, as were the ribs (great smokey flavor and not one of those candy-covered-bbqs). Loved the burnt tips and wings! Great location and near some of the dessert and cupcake places of GTown.

Description
Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post.

The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.
