We came for happy hour....it was great! Beer, wine, specialty drinks, and appetizers each for around $6.00. From 4-7pm. The bartender's name was something like Aubrey(?) and he was awesome!! He was taking such great care of many many thirsty (and hungry in our case) people with finesse!! Ribs were amazing as was my Long Island Ice Tea. He even... More

I love trying new restaurants, and I am thrilled a friend of mine took me to Georgia Brown's. Definitely Southern comfort food. Their fried green tomatoes are to die for, and their Southern fried chicken is a must-try. Cannot wait to go back! Thanks, Georgia Brown's!!! Mary

After searching for a family friendly restaurant near our hotel, we located Georgia Brown's. From the friendly manager who ensured our family had a wonderful table and our food allergies were taken care of, this restaurant was top notch. The food and ambiance were excellent. This restaurant is suitable for date night, small group gathering, or family meal. The food... More

We had a late dinner as a group and we were not disappointed. Our 930 reservation was on time and we were greeted with a nice friendly smile. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions. She quickly replaced the basket of yummy cornbread and biscuits that was a little hard on the edges. We all ordered different... My wife and I were surprised by my daughter and son-in-law with a visit to Georgia Brown's. I had heard of it and was interested but typically do not venture into DC due to crowds and traffic. But they were driving. What a pleasant experience. Fantastic food, charming atmosphere and wonderful service. Our server, Melissa P did a great job... More

I stopped by for an early dinner and enjoyed my meal. My server was Daniel and he did a great job of taking care of me. I had Shrimp, Grits & Sausage and was really tasty, a bit more spicy than I expected but still very good. I also had the fried green tomato which was fantastic. If you are... More

Lovely comfortable and cosy setting is a perfect start to the exceptional cuisine. Traditional southern food with flavour that's served with pride. If you go, and you have Bobby serving you, make him smile by telling him he's the 'Dog's Bollocks'.

We stopped here for a meal around 3pm. We only saw a couple of other filled tables at that time. I liked how they brought biscuits and cornbread sticks with honey butter shortly after we sat down. However, that was the quickest service we received for the rest of the meal from our server. It was surprising how long it... More

The staff was very attentive, but the restaurant was tired looking. Menu did have a good selection of different southern dishes. The sweet tea did have a slight peach flavor, but not fresh. The bread basket was ok. Fried chicken and mash potatoes were very good. Child friendly, as were leaving the jazz band was striking up. Glad, we do... More

I had never heard of this restaurant. I was looking for something down home, southern, you know soul food. This came up on Google and we went for it. It was a party of 4. No reservations, around 600pm on a Sunday. The atmosphere was inviting. Lights were low, good music playing over head. Our server was so pleasant. We... More
