It has been over ten years since I last visited Georgia Brown's in DC. The restaurant still serves fresh, authentic food with first class service. The crab cakes are one of a kind and the sweet potato cheesecake sets the standard. Thanks for keeping the bar high. Lawrence

While traveling to DC, Georgia Brown's was recommended by a family member who lives in the DC area. The restaurant did not disappoint! We arrived early for a Friday evening reservation and were seated within 10 minutes, ahead of our scheduled time. From the moment we were seated to the end of the evening we were treated to the best... More

Starting with the best, the food is exceptional. Low Country, southern cooking with a little modern twist. I had the beef stew and my guest had the fried chicken. The portions were generous and tasty. Well-seasoned and creative cooking at its finest. Based on food alone, this would have received a much higher rating. The service was dreadful. When we... More

I ate at Georgia Brown's tonight as part of a group of 40 from a conference taking place in town. We received prompt and attentive service throughout the meal, our drinks were delivered within minutes of ordering and our 4 course meal came out in a timely manner...for all of us, a very large group and we were not the... We stopped here prior to a tour of the West Wing. We were not in a hurry but were on a schedule. The service was outstanding. The food, very good. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. Not to be missed- fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and lobster bisque (I think it was a special). All outstanding.

Georgia Brown's is an upscale, downtown DC low-country food restaurant that fails to disappoint. It's a popular spot, so be prepared to either wait or have the place be full of life and sound. The interior decor is very pleasant and the service is top notch. The food is spectacular, but make sure that you are prepared for low-country food... More

Came here on a weeknight for dinner and it was delicious. I had the sugar rub pork chips and the bourbon pecan pie, and I would definitely recommend both. It was extremely busy, even on a Monday night, so I would recommend making a reservation.

Went here for dinner while in DC to celebrate my sister's birthday. The restaurant was a little cramped for me. Our dining space was small. The decor was nice. The menu selection was disappointing. The service was great and our waitress was friendly. The fish I ordered was just okay. So much noise in the place we couldn't have a... More

Second time eating at Georgia Browns. The last time we had brunch which was good..dinner was not as good. Food is expensive and not worth the cost. The fried chicken was good but not spectacular.
