Many of the dishes are marked gluten free. And they are not only gluten free but excellent! Other plus: food is served quickly.

I've been coming to this place for years and love it! The food is fantastic. The hummus sampler is especially yummy.

Having eaten here 3 times on 2 separate visits to DC, I can say the food is AMAZING. Rich, full mid-eastern flavors in every bite. We enjoyed the Baba Ganoush (eggplant dip), Watermelon Feta salad (sweet & salty w/ a hint of mint), Lamb kabobs & especially the Kafta (ground meats with herbs formed sausage-shaped & grilled). The sides of... More

Not easy to prepare a real Lebanese food but not imposissible. Food was very very good, service really extraordinary. The lady who assisted us was so gentle and smiling (beautiful Ukrainian girl). All is good there, also the bathroom with Listerine cups for all guests. Checks my pics attached. Really suggested.

Visiting DC for a friend's wedding. Found this restaurant for a quick bite and libation. What a treasure!!! Food delicious and authentic. Beer was cold and tasty. Lebanese red wine was a perfect accompaniment for my Taverna Platter of food. Excellent restaurant and waitstaff!

My husband and I had lunch at the Lebanese Taverna. The food was excellent and authentic! I had the vegetarian sampler and my husband had the meat sampler (with lamb). We shared our meals with each other. Very tasty, great service!!

Visiting friends, we were steered to this taverna for a long lunch and different flavors. Other reviews have stated its a bit pricey- and I do agree. But we all got good value for our dollars and felt full and quite healthy when we left. Service was fine- the place was rather full so we didn't expect super personal contact... More

Entrees are small and expensive, but the food has great quality. If you're comfortable with that - go.

Came out of this place stuffed on appetizers, and loved every one. The octopus was especially good! Unfortunately my 5 year old ate them all. Everyone else's dishes also looked amazing.

Description
Come see our new look with a contemporary feel in a refined setting with subtle touches of a Lebanese home. We've added seats to the bar and a new lounge too! Still great for groups of all sizes and the private room now seats 56 people. Located in walking distance from the Marriott Wardman Park and Omni Shoreham Hotels and directly across the street from the Woodley Park Metro station, our DC location is ideal for corporate and social events. Validated self-parking is also available in the garage directly behind the restaurant. The Cedar Room accommodates up to 60 people for a private seated event and 40 people for a standing reception. For smaller affairs, the room can be offered as a semi privately as well. The main dining room is also available for larger parties.
