I look forward to having at least one meal at this local gem every year when I go to Washington. The hummus, falafel and lamb are wonderful, but I have never had a bad meal here.

During my recent visit to "DC" I ate the fare from this restaurant, with much anticipation before hand. I do enjoy good Middle Eastern cuisine. My wife, who is of Armenian decent and whose Mother used to make GREAT and well seasoned food of this region, got me turned on to it while we were dating some 42 years ago.... More

I went their for a lunch. They offer some complimentary warm pita breads which I found a great gesture to start with. The food was good, but chicken shwarama was a little too dry for my taste. All in all a good lunch.

Despite the reviews, my food was nothing special. I ordered the taverna platter with chicken shawarma. It came with lukewarm tasteless rice and lukewarm dry chicken. The hummus was tasty though. Salad could have been more fresh. Other than the hummus and warm bread, the rest of the food was not warm and tasty.

A wonderful taste of the Middle East. I enjoyed the breads & hummus followed by the slow cooker lamb and accompanied by a margarita on the rocks with salt - all absolutely delicious!

Staying at the Omni Shoreham, I wanted something nearby for dinner and noticed that the Lebanese Embassy is nearby, and there is also the Lebanese Taverna 2 blocks from the hotel. My hunch paid off in quite a memorable meal! We started with kibbeh and roasted olives. The kibbeh was crunchy falafel on the outside, and moist, aromatic lamb/beef inside,... More

My husband and I stopped in around 3 in the afternoon. Even though we looked terrible and stumbled in while they were setting up for a large party, the staff welcome us and seated us at a very nice booth. I'm so glad we finally tried Lebanese Taverna. While my husband isn't always super excited about middle eastern food, I'm... More

Years ago I visited this restaurant, and loved it! I couldn't leave my hotel, but was able to get food delivered from Lebanese Taverna via Uber Eats. Easy ordering, fast, delicious food.

We recently visited this restaurant. I was not in the mood for this type of restaurant but was very glad that we went. The food was wonderful and varied. The menu and service were a very good experience.

Description
Come see our new look with a contemporary feel in a refined setting with subtle touches of a Lebanese home. We've added seats to the bar and a new lounge too! Still great for groups of all sizes and the private room now seats 56 people. Located in walking distance from the Marriott Wardman Park and Omni Shoreham Hotels and directly across the street from the Woodley Park Metro station, our DC location is ideal for corporate and social events. Validated self-parking is also available in the garage directly behind the restaurant. The Cedar Room accommodates up to 60 people for a private seated event and 40 people for a standing reception. For smaller affairs, the room can be offered as a semi privately as well. The main dining room is also available for larger parties.
