Early Wednesday lunch, fairly quiet. Offered a booth. Nice friendly service. Just a simple burger but good and nicely presented. Would go again next time we are in DC.

We ordered the fig and prosciutto, and roasted vegetable salads which were both excellent, followed by the crab cakes and lobster shepherd pie as entrees.. everything was excellent, the blue crab cakes were solid crab and good sized. The crime brûlée was the smoothest we have had. Prices were moderate, and a good value.

WE came on two occasions. On the first trip we had a table and three courses and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. On the second trip we ate at the bar, which was more relaxed and we ate only snacks which were still enjoyable.

The food was very good and the service was amazing. Our server seemed to remember the smallest details and even made suggestions for our meal that made it better. The only downfall was that it was super busy and LOUD. We almost had to shout to here each other. Not romantic, but a great meal none-the-less.

While staying at the Mayflower in DC, some guests told us about Clyde’s and how easy it was to get to on the Circulator. We hopped onto the Yellow Line Circulator, paid our $1, got a tour of western DC and arrived in Georgetown in about 20 minutes. Arriving at 5:30P, the restaurant was almost full but we had reserved... More

We had dinner at Clyde's. Great ambiance. The food was very good and prices are surprisingly reasonable. The servers are very friendly. Make sure you have reservations or you might have to wait for an hour to get a table.

Right on M Street in the middle of the Georgetown shops, I have been here for dinner before (which was good), but we decided to try brunch. We had the eggs bennie classic, a Belgian waffle, and the salmon hash. They were very tasty, and we liked the coffee crumb cake they provided at the beginning of the meal. Prices... More

Clyde's is the last standard bearer of the M Street Georgetown pubs. Great bar and classic pub fare. Tommy Melt is my fave- BEC on a Burger...how can you top that! Wings are a go to app, and the Onion Soup is very good. My wife loved the Crab Cakes- very nicely seasoned and good size. Dessert menu is full... More

Opened in 1963, Clyde's of Georgetown qualifies as an institution. This animated tavern in the heart of Washington's most famous neighborhood popularized saloon food and practically invented Sunday brunch. More than 50 years later, Clyde's continues the tradition, serving classic American cuisine to Georgetown locals and famous faces while passers-by stop in and mingle at the long oak bar. The re-designed interior is an open invitation to the restaurant's life and times with its many travel posters, paintings, and bronze statues. Clyde's of Georgetown remains a Washington classic.
