Clyde's is a nice restaurant located in Georgetown. This is an upscale area of Washington. The restaurant and Old Ebbitt Grill near the White House, are owned by the same people so some of the menu items are the same. We dined at both and were happy with our meals both times. We were a party of three and ordered... More

This is a Georgetown classic. Good food and good times! I always wonder if it will be as good as I remember but it always is! Great for all ages. In winter, enjoy a seat by the fireplace.

Nice social atmosphere for a casual lunch or work party. Great menu and drinks selection, friendly staff and top location if you want to do some shopping at the same time.

Best time ever. The duck was fantastic. But it's the vibe I loved. Celebrations everywhere. Casual but special. Loved our waiter Justin. This is where I will go first to eat next time in D.C.

Enjoyed a late lunch on a cold January day. We were delighted to follow the hostess through a maze of rooms to our table next to a large gas fireplace, well welcomed after our chilly walk. With brick walls and a good use of mirrors, the high ceilings and model airplanes added to the comfortable atmosphere. Our server was friendly... More

Friends from the area suggested we all try Clyde's for brunch. Glad we did, the food was first rate and the service was outstanding. It wasn't busy when we got there and when we left, we realized the entire place had filled up, but the service never lagged. Nice to visit a local favorite instead of the trendy places all... More

Wonderful food and service. Recommend sea food and always a reservation. Portions were large. Great wine list and helpful staff in one of Georgetown's famous restrauants.

My family had dinner here recently while visiting Georgetown. It was a Tuesday night but the restaurant was very busy. I would recommend making a reservation if possible. We were seated without a reservation after 10 minute wait. The food and service were very good. The prices were reasonable.

Classic pub in this traditional part of D.C. Went for burgers and brew though it does have a full menu. Very relaxing meal with great service in the heart of Georgetown.

I was truly disappointed. For what they charge for my eggs Benedict I should have gotten better. What I was served I have had better at a greasy spoon. The portion was tiny with hardly any ham, served with finger potatoes mixed with some onions on a plate. Hardly worth $15.99! I have had better for $7.99. Waiter was good... More

Description
Opened in 1963, Clyde's of Georgetown qualifies as an institution. This animated tavern in the heart of Washington's most famous neighborhood popularized saloon food and practically invented Sunday brunch. More than 50 years later, Clyde's continues the tradition, serving classic American cuisine to Georgetown locals and famous faces while passers-by stop in and mingle at the long oak bar. The re-designed interior is an open invitation to the restaurant's life and times with its many travel posters, paintings, and bronze statues. Clyde's of Georgetown remains a Washington classic.
