I went there twice. I ordered seafood ramen, once in miso soup, and another in soy sauce. The soup is just right and clear, not overly strong and yet with well distinguishable taste. The ramen texture is good and the seafood are simply fresh and firm.

I lived for over a decade in Japan, so sushi is something that I have gotten somewhat picky about. Tono does a good job. The cuts of sushi are slightly smaller than one might expect. Everything I had was fresh.

This restaurant is located in a string of restaurants adjacent the Woodley Park Metro station. Decor is ok but nothing special and as with many restaurants in the area seating can be crowded. Menu is Asian, not just sushi. Sushi is quite good, but the variety of sushi is not up to that offered elsewhere. Menu is a confusing mix... More

I enjoyed a quick lunch here one afternoon. With nice weather, the patio was great. The food was good. Not the greatest sushi I've ever had (though I've been to Japan, so it's a high bar), but good portion size for a quick lunch and some unique rolls that I hadn't seen before. Very easy to get to from a... More

Walked over to the restaurant from the Omni. Service was very good, sushi was good, not outstanding. Pleasant experience and good food.

We had lunch at this small establishment and enjoyed it very much. It was not nearly as busy as the surrounding restaraunts and the service/food were excellent.

We were staying at the Gaylord Hotel and took a trip into DC specifically for Tono. It was my first time going but it will not be my last. The food is spectacular from the tempura to the ramen and especially the sushi. They have a section where you can choose to order small amounts of different fish or you... More

Our first dinner in D.C. was at Tono. We were very happy to find some comfort food in the big city. Our wait staff was helpful and attentive. The food was good and was served quickly. We ate here a second time for lunch. We only had an hour for lunch, so it got a bit stressful. I ordered the... More
