With my niece, whose wedding-party rehearsal took place here a few years ago we really did enjoy our glasses of wine by the water's edge. The view is delightful, the friendliness of the visitors and staff infectious.

The location is almost unbeatable, but the food and service could have done with going up a notch for the price. We had oysters, then fish soup (distinctly average - please add a great bouillabaisse to the menu!), and shrimps: not overly large portions which is OK. Gigantic portion of key lime pie, which was too big for three of... More

We made a reservation for our group of 10. When we got there, it seemed like we were an afterthought and they threw us a couple tables together. The food and drinks are expensive and the atmosphere is beautiful on the water so I would have expected top of the line service - it was terrible! It took over 30... More

I really enjoyed my dinner with my husband at Sequoia last night! Not only was the food very good and the service top notch, but the view cinched the deal! The food is definitely pricey, but we have heard such good things about the restaurant, we decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. I had the crab... More

Had a 7:00 pm reservation. Arrived 5 minutes early and were told "there's a table paying their bill, it will just be a few minutes." (We later found out another party with a 7:00 reservation had been told the same thing). 55 minutes later, we were seated in a crowded, noisy room, with no apology from the hostess. After sitting... Came here after visiting the WhiteHouse and tour of the National Mall. Nice ambience in front of the river and several yachts. We got a seat right in front of the water. Food was good but expensive.

We went there for dinner 2 weeks ago, simply the best water view restaurant in Georgetown. All pther restaurant claim to be waterview: they are all positioned behind Sequoia. When we asked for direction after getting out of cab, the answer: Sequoia is the one at the very front by the water Service: Plenty of staff around, our server was... More

Being in a group of 240, it was a great location with a terrific view. Started with drinks on the veranda and then went inside for a dinner. The scallops were very good as was the desert. Steak was OK and covered with a brown gravy. Lots of glass in this building and some terrific views. The bathroom was upstairs... More

Just had the NY strip = awesome. Enjoyed the entire meal. Started with Lettuce wedge and ended with the Key Lime Pie. Service relaxed but excellent. Ambiance brilliant.

I am really torn about this review. I attended a beautiful wedding reception at this location the end of June. The tables were gorgeous. Luscious flowers, napkins and chairs to match. The room was beyond words regarding the beautiful lighting inside and out. I should mention this was a wedding in which the couple wanted very specific decor, appetizers, high... More
