Location and contact

Lauriol Plaza Restaurant was established in 1983. Ever since then, we have become a landmark in DC. We are nestled in one of the most vibrant, diversified Dupont Circle neighborhood in DC. According to food critics and clients, we are popular for good food, good service and good prices. We have the most diversified clientele, who has a true passion for Mexican, International, Latin American food. This is the spot to see and be seen in the Nation’s Capital and, although, we are a large restaurant, in essence, we still remain the small neighborhood restaurant we once were back in the old days. We are proud to have served families and couples in the 80’s and their new generations in the 2000s,

Lauriol plaza has a great seafood enchilada. I tend to get this dish each time I visit. I always feel slighted when I don’t. They literally melt in your mouth. Yum yum The swirl margarita is one of my favs as well.

This place is always busy. The kitchen churn out food at quite a pace. After my most recent visit I was once again left indifferent about the food. It's acceptable but nothing special. Many of the waiting staff look pretty miserable.

A person in our group recommend this resturant as he had been before. Great atmosphere and very busy restaurant for weeknight. The menu is extensive and broad. It offers a special daily sheet with fresh ingredients. Chips and salsa are offered to each table. I...More

Several of us went here after church. We were seated in a cramped lil corner. The food was ok. Not much to brag about. The frozen drinks are the best. The prices were decent.

Met friends there for a change of pace and because we heard they had a great variety of latin flavors. Sure enough, nothing disappointed. The guacamole was fresh and the chips were really quite nice (not too thick or thin). Our main courses came out...More

Back in the 1980s we lived near DuPont Circle and went to Lauriol Plaza often. Last night was our first time back there since then, and we were disappointed. Everything was bland. We both ordered the seafood enchiladas, and they had little flavor (I put...More

This could be a good place. Decent ambiance although showing some tiredness. The menu choices are varied and the food satisfactory. Unfortunately, the staff have an attitude of indifference including a lack of listening. Unless they pick up their game there are better choices.
