This has to be my favorite Italian restaurant in Washington DC, perhaps in the country. Every aspect of every visit is exquisite. The staff is amazing, the food delicious and the ambiance authentic and charming. The menu is very different than many Italian eateries. I highly recommend the scallop appetizer, or the mussels, as they are a standout. The pastas... More

Had a wonderful meal with attentive service. The menu offers appetizers, first couse, second course and dessert as fond in Italy. My husband and I split courses so that we could taste more of the offerings. Bread was homemade and fresh, pasta with the 12 hour sugo sauce was incredible, shrimp was very fresh. They had a nice wine list... More

not a lot to say here, just a fine restaurant of very long standing, like 28 years or some such, very elegant and appropriate and spacious decor, and staff that really knew their stuff. There was a young lady in training shadowing our waiter, always good to see young people getting proper training.

We were in Florence and Venice last fall and I thought this food was much better. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and a very helpful staff. I had the Prosciutto Casalingo Coi Panserotti E Melone for the appetizer. The melon was super fresh and sweet, the proscuitto was on point and surprisingly the fritter was great and completed the dish.My... More

To start, they served three kinds of bread for their bread basket. One of those had roasted tomatoes on it. Bread is normally not that big of a deal. However, the bread was so good that I thought if the bread was that good I knew the meal was going to be excellent. It was! To start, I had the... More

We enjoyed reservations here on Easter weekend. The food was excellent. My son enjoyed a NY strip steak, my mother and I enjoyed the filet, my husband and daughter each had a version of the bolognese. All were cooked to perfection. My daughter enjoyed tiramisu for dessert, my son gelato, and my husband and I sorbet. Again, all outstanding. Our... More

We selected i Ricchi based on Open Table reviews, and availability on a Saturday night. 3 adults, a teen and a tween arrived late due to heavy traffic and were greeted graciously. Our server, Sayeed, was just attentive enough without being too present. He shared his recommendations for cocktails, wine and food and helped our tween select what turned out... More

Had an outstanding dinner after an art viewing on their patio. Food was spectacular throughout, and service was phenomenal. Staff rushes to open doors for you seamlessly, everyone there is clearly on top of their game. Our waitress was warm, friendly, and had excellent recommendations, I can't remember her name but she mentioned she was the only blonde one... Everything... More

I Ricchi is one of Washington's older, fine dining restaurants and still lives up to gracious dining. Had lunch there with a friend a few weeks ago. Could have been in Rome. Smooth, experienced maitre'd escorted me to my table and companion. quick service, drinks and menu quickly received. As in Rome, educated conversation with waiter regarding specials. I had... More
