The traditional interior with its rich woods and walls covered with photos of politicians adds great interest to meal. Food is good to ok. Squash soup was excellent. The lunch steak I Was just ok.

A classic restaurant and classic service. Get reservation which is a must. I did and sat in the famous booth where CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS was negotiated at. It has history , panche and style. Try lunch and try the bar. While moderately priced, you can rest assure it is worth the effort.

My wife had one wish when it came to eating in DC. Crabcakes. We were not disappointed with the generous yet artistic display of the crabcake dinner portion. The outside patio was closed to eating at 9:30pm. We did take our two children 5 and 7 and they knew this was not your average Ruby Tuesday and were very well... More

Went here because it was a so-called "landmark" eatery among government foodies. Sat at the bar, and right away recognised that I was not in for a treat. Appetiser salad was uninspiring, Lamb Shank was worse than store-bought, knuckly and over cooked. After spending $70 for solo dinner with no alcohol, I don't understand why the place was packed. I... Lovely secluded patio situated between two restaurants, serving extensive wine list, cocktails, and snacks - one of our favorite things to do for early dinner drinks.

We had lunch at this restaurant in the outside terrace which look busy which is why we tried it. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving as although it look good and the food was very good the service was very poor We waited 20 minutes for anyone to take our order and that was after we complained, the server was on the... I went to a luncheon at Occidental Grill yesterday - and the whole day was just perfect! I used valet parking at the Willard because it was only $8 with a stamp from the Occidental Grill, so I just had to pull up, drop off my car and walk in to the restaurant. Perfect! It was a warm and sunny... More

Ambience is really good, as the building it self already more than 100 years. However the selection of the food was not so much. Ended up ordering fish and scallop. Great service but food is only so so.

As others have stated, the ambience is great - warm, club-style setting indoors, with an outdoor brasserie option for warmer months. Unfortunately the food was just "ok" - I had seared fois gras, lamb shank and a side of brussels sprouts. Usually a nice hearty option for a winter's evening. The main problem is that everything seemed to be overdone... More

Nice restaurant with a warm club atmosphere. Service and food was very good with many items coming from local farms and sources. We liked the wine list that was interesting and reasonable. Indoor and outdoor seating. The outside seating is more casual, but comes with a great atmosphere of the city and activity.
