I needed a great venue for an important board-of-directors get-together. After checking out about a dozen places, we settled on Equinox, in part because of its reasonable corkage policy. We dealt with Chelsea, who made the experience as comfortable as one could imagine. She provided outstanding guidance, answering all our questions, including some we hadn't thought to ask. When I... FYI this is listed as "Dupont" neighborhood but it actually is a block from the 17th and I exit of Farragut West, in case you want to come by Metro. I had lunch at Equinox and although it was enjoyable, the dishes were uneven. I was a walk-in toward the end of lunch service and was greeted warmly. Chef Gray... More

Excellent food and service. Referred here by hotl I was staying at and glad I took their suggestion. A title pricy but worth it.

I came here on a cold night with my daughter expecting tasty food, and was unpleasantly surprised with flavorless and underwhelming food. I had the chestnut pasta and my daughter had the side portion of mac and cheese that was generously sized. Overall, I do not think the food was worth the exorbitant prices.

The Equinox is a solid performer, great for groups with a selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options. The food is good but not outstanding; the staff are great. Situated Downtown near the Whitehouse and numerous hotels, walking distance to a variety of touristic opportunities.

An hidden gem not far from the White House. After 17+ years the restaurant is well kept and still looks contemporary. The cuisine remains very good and with new vegan additions. Fresh Pastas and Risotos are delightful. The Mushroom/Chestnut soup is outstanding. The Artichokes Alla Romana are very well prepared and not greasy. The Duo Coq Au vin is a... More

As a semi new vegan brunches have been hard to find that offer a good vegan friendly suggestion but I found equinox and thought I'd give it a try. The food was delicious! I thought the variety was perfect, they restocked the buffet quickly, they had amazing desserts and the made to order tofu scramble was great! Apple cider champagne... More

Per their website: American cuisine well established in European technique. Chef Gray stays true to his mission of using community-sourced, organic ingredients grown within 100 miles of the restaurant, whenever possible. Had a very enjoyable meal with a colleague. We both went for vegan options and everything was delicious.

One of the few high end restaurants that offers a page of plant based foods. This month they are infusing a lot of their dishes with fresh white truffles, and the effect is delicious. The hot freshly baked buttermilk biscuits with rosemary and sea salt are heart-warming and devine, especially with the truffle infused butter. The foccacia bread that comes... More
