Brought colleagues and foreign visitor here for a business dinner. It has been a favorite restaurant for me for years, but I hadn't been there for a while so didn't know what to expect. The food, service and value continued to be exceptional. Even though our party of 5 trickled in (due to very bad traffic) the restaurant and wait... More

The Bombay Club is a unique restaurant with a Colonial flavor of British India. The cuisine is however most authentically Indian rather than Anglo-Indian. It is has been a popular hangout for White House staff (and occupants, I gather). There is pleasant piano music in the evenings and the restaurant has outdoor seating as well. Highly recommended. As a regular... More

We went on the recommendation of a guide book and it didn't disappoint. We enjoy a good curry and are spoilt for choice at home in London, but this place was as good as the best of them. The interior is very smart, colonial with a modern twist. They have an interesting and varied menu and the food was delicately... More

We went here for a nice glass of wine and and beer outside. The drinks were nice very chilled atmosphere . We weren't going to eat however the smell was amazing. So even though we weren't hungry we had the chicken masala to share. It was delicious really really good. I must admit I thought it was going to be... More

So based on numerous recommendations from friends, my partner and I decided to try Bombay Club—located adjacent to the Farragut Street North station on DC's metro—right off the red line. Or the blue/orange/silver lines, if you decide to exit at Farragut West. The restaurant is very, very easy to get to, and it's a nice, busy and safe area of... More

Evoking the ambiance of classic English clubs in colonial Bombay, this restaurant is just as classy and unique. Very close to the White House, it is walking distance from the Sofitel hotel (5 min. walk) where my husband and I stayed. We were greeted at the entrance with smiles and promptly taken to our elegant table while a grand piano... More

Our first impression was this restaurant was really classy. White tablecloths, sparkling silverware and stemware. We had not booked but were quickly accommodated. The restaurant was busy but not noisy and the tables were well spaced out. The staff were so helpful The menu had really exciting dishes, very unusual. We had crispy kale chat - delicious and the curries........when... More

We wanted to check this after our excellent experience in Rasika (same owner). Food here was also great (Rasika was better), but the service here was well below average (Rasika was much much much better!)

Great evening at the Bombay Club. A very classy indian restaurant in special environment of white table cloths, beautiful decor and live piano music. It makes for a unique evening of good Indian food and pleasurable surroundings. The menu is most varied and covers the full range of Curries, Lamb Vindaloo, Rogan Josh, excellent Basmati Rice and of course, the... More
