A group of six of us dined here on a Saturday evening. We showed up without reservations, and were seated with almost no wait at all. The restaurant is large, with several sections. We were served chips and salsa. The chips were warm and tasty. The service all evening was excellent. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were quite good.... More

Very nice staff, great food, and cocktails. Staff was friendly and patient as I waited at my table for lunch mates to appear. The house salad was huge and tasty with chicken, avacado, pepperonicini, and hearts of palm. The chips and salsa were too delicious!

We had a late lunch here. Ambiance was loud, but service was good and they validated parking in the structure in the same building. Hubby had chicken enchiladas, which were very bland. Salad on the plate was little more than a pile of cabbage. Beans were good but might have had pork in them. I had a "Brazilian" salad. Nothing... More

This restaurant is on Wisconsin Avenue north of Georgetown, a largely residential area that does not seem to cater to tourists. We really enjoyed our meal. The food was really good. We stuck to the classic American Mexican restaurant dishes (tacos, enchiladas, etc.), but there were more interesting things on the menu, too. We felt like a local eating there.... More

Always enjoy eating at Cactus Cantina--and do so often. Food is consistently high quality--and tasty. Enchiladas are really good. I'm ready to go back! Service is generally good too.

The tortillas served upon arrival were so light and crispy accompanied with a slightly spicy salsa. Margarita was refreshingly delicious. I ordered asada ranchera which was on the special menu. It was grilled chicken with mushrooms peppers and cheese served with beans, guacamole and pico de gallo. Flautas made fresh in front of your eyes were served with it. Absolutely... More

This is an excellent TexMex place that offers good portions of tasty food. We were looking for a place to eat that would accommodate our dog, and the patio was perfect. The dog has to sit outside the fence, but is easily accessible to us to keep him happy and under control. The food and service were excellent and we... More

This has been my go-to place for Mexican food for many years. Food has been consistently good: lomo saltado, beef fajtas, great margaritas. The place gets full by 6pm every night and it is is hard to get a table on Friday and Saturday nights. Very popular place for families with small kids, hence the very noisy atmosphere.

We have previously been at this great location, just down the road from The National Shine Cathedral. Great food, fast service. My only complain for not giving five starts, is because this past weekend when we enter and got "greeted" by possibly the RUDEST hostess I have ever encounter with "HOW MAY I HELP YOU" ????.... uhh ... We kind... More

This was such a pleasant surprise in the middle of DC. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside! They have outdoor seating, but we chose to sit indoors. The menu is extremely varied and if you don't see what you want, just ask if they have it. Our waitress was so helpful. We had a... More
