I get it, authentic Italian restaurant straight out of a made for tv movie so it's the place to visit as a tourist. Lot's of over attentive staff, meals that were pretty good but were expensive and the portions were comically large. In a neighborhood...More

If you're are anywhere close(within 50 miles), turn towards Georgetown and eat here. It's worth the detour. Whenever I'm in DC or passing by, I make a point to stop by. To make things easy, there is a parking garage right across the street. We...More

Our family ate here during our volleyball tournament trip, must have a reservation! Although the decor is quite eclectic and the tables are tight, the food was outstanding along with our service! Seriously, meatballs and lasagna, best we have ever had, period! Will always eat...More

This may be the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten including those in Italy! We just wandered by looking for a nice meal and came by Filomena’s which was so inviting. Could actually see a couple of people handmaking the pasta. The decor was...More

We've been coming to Filomena's for years. The first time I dined here, I ordered the veal cannelloni. I have never ordered a different main course, although I've tried a variety of appetizers, side dishes and desserts. The cannelloni is soooooo good that I can't...More

I adore this place. Have been dozens of times over a 20 year span of visiting DC. Anyone that says that it’s a tourist trap doesn’t know what they are talking about. It is just plain good old school Italian food the way Nonna use...More

I thoroughly enjoyed my solo Sunday lunch! A lovely atmosphere & great service! The Valentine’s Day decor was over the top delightful. The Sunday sauce was delicious as was the bread dip. I hope to return.

We love to go to Filomena's around any holidays as the restaurant is always very decorated. Valentines day was the theme this time. Red lights hearts and cupids very tastefully done. We seem to always get the same thing when visiting Washington. The meatball sandwiches....More

Filomena is a testament to food gluttony. I am one of those persons who when served a gargantuan portion of anything, my throat and stomach clam up. It is absurd to charge super high prices and then heap tons of food onto a plate. A...More
