Picked restaurant out of DC tour book. Near DuPont Circle. Turned out to be great choice. The apricot plum chutney made the crab cakes unique. If you like cozy, this is the place for you. If you like family owned with moderate prices, this is...More

I've been here twice, once for dinner and a second time more recently for drinks. Tabbard Inn is next to the Kimpton Topaz. It's pretty conveniently located near Dupont Circle, Connecticut Avenue, and Massachusetts Avenue. The main attraction is the plentiful wood and old world...More

I stayed next door at the Kimpton and was really glad I ate breakfast here instead. It feels like you’re in a European cafe and the food and coffee are delicious, and the service is very attentive.

We had a great lunch for 8 last week, to celebrate the arrival of a new employee. They gave us a private room on the second floor--very elegant and pretty room that could fit 12. I ate there often (for 2 or 4 people) but...More

This restaurant has a good (limited, but varied) menu of tasty items. Good breakfast menu. Good lunch and dinner menu. Reasonable prices. They do take reservations. I'm always skeptical of hotel restaurants but this broke the mold - it was great!!!

Our second visit here, food was ok, service was mediocre at best. Had early dinner reservation, ordered cocktails with all four drinks delivered at different times. Ten minutes after ordering dinner, were informed that the special that two people in our party had ordered was...More

The environment was charming, the service excellent, with company of the very best, and the food was just plain poor. On Friday evening we ordered the Special: Red Snapper for $35 each and received a plain piece of rubbery, dry, tasteless fish, about 5-6 ounces,...More
