Everything about the Old Ebbitt Grill was great, from the minute you arrive and see the two giant Nutcrackers outside to the decoration inside. The waiter was polite and efficient, the food was delicious and generously portioned and the price was also very good value for money. Location wise its in a perfect location right near the White House and... More

Nice classic surroundings & good service. Food just ok & quite expensive. Much prefer our good old Christmas dinner. Glad we had booked as there were lots of people waiting.

The waiter was very professional and the food was truly good American food. Very good quality, very big portions and reasonably priced for the quality and the location. I will definitely return there if... More

Went to Old Ebbitt Grill for a nice dinner -- make sure you cal ahead for reservations. Glad I did because it was busy on a Friday night. People were waiting an hour plus. Good service and excellent meal. Walked to see the National Christmas tree after dinner at the White House.

After visiting the African-American Museum, had a late lunch at Old Ebbitt Grill. Had eaten here years ago. Anyway, it was about 3:00 in the afternoon and we were able to walk right in. Staff was very attentive and informative. The menu was good with reasonable prices (for Washington DC that is). Appetizer was Crab Dip with small, toasted bread... More

a very nicely appointed restaurant with magnificent old fittings. apparently attended by many Presidents and Generals over the years. Busy and noisy but good service although a smile would help.
