Went to Old Ebbitt Grill for a nice dinner -- make sure you cal ahead for reservations. Glad I did because it was busy on a Friday night. People were waiting an hour plus. Good service and excellent meal. Walked to see the National Christmas tree after dinner at the White House.

a very nicely appointed restaurant with magnificent old fittings. apparently attended by many Presidents and Generals over the years. Busy and noisy but good service although a smile would help.
