Had the crab cakes: big, lots of crab (minimal filler), delicious. The artichoke & crab dip appetizer was also good; cooks to order &good for sharing. Loud & crowded, but yummy.

Staying in Downtown used Old Ebbit on several occasions. Great bar, good food for breakfast dinner and lunch and ideally located for Capitol sites and Downtown.

The first night in DC we had dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill. It was a fantastic time and the food was great! Everyone got something different and no one was disappointed. The service was great also. Would definitely go back.

Stopped by for lunch with no reservation and ended up seated at bar, great service from Steve, ordered the pork Jäger Schnitzel and it was outstanding. My wife had the fish and chips which were good. Highly recommended, use open table to make reservation.

We sat down at the bar to wait for our table (1 hour wait for 2 people at 8:30 pm on a Sunday night), but ended up just eating at the bar, because our bartender was THE MAN. Very insightful and a great attitude. I had the Hanger Steak, which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The spinach was... More

Must stop in! Plenty of bar space...I think they have three or four distinct bars. Menu and service is outstanding! Great vibe and mix of locals and tourists.

My wife and I along with our friends had the pleasure of experiencing the Historic Old Ebbitt Grill. The place has the coolest vibe and the staff at Old Ebbitt were so kind and fun to hang with. The food was marvelous and I thought the prices were a great value. Hanging out in a bar that has been around... More

Old Ebbitt has a fantastic location near the White House and Treasury buildings and benefits greatly from the shared history of the location. The restaurant itself is lovely and fits the vibe of the surround area nicely. The half price afternoon seafood happy hour was amazing for the intersection of quality and price.
