We were staying at the Normandy Hotel for a family event so booked a large table for about 20 or so at Le Mirch, which was about a 10 minute walk away. Food was fabulous and there were plenty of choices for the omnivores, pescatarians and vegetarians in the crowd. Service was a little slow but it was very friendly... More

Our group went to Le Mirch without a reservation. They were very kind and seated us quickly. The food was really delicious, but I think we overloaded the kitchen, as it took a really long time to get our meals. I don't know if slow food service is a normal occurrence, but it was for us.

The problem with North American restaurants that label themselves as "Indian" restaurants is that if you have been to one, you have been to them all. These restaurants are catered more towards North Americans, who might have hankering for "Indian" food once in a while. But for a person of Indian-origin, these restaurant serve as a respite, serving familiar food... More

I never had Indian food before, we came across this 12.00 all you can eat lunch buffet special. What a treat this place was. It is very nice on the inside, you immediately feel very welcome and comfortable. Service was extremely prompt, attentive and professional. The buffet had a wide range of choices for vegetarian options and meat lovers. The... More

We visited one Monday in October without reservations and found a table no problem. There was a slight issue with the speed of service as we got the feeling that things were a trifle rushed a the restaurant was close to closing for the night but not a major thing. Now on to the good bits - the food which... More

Although, this restaurant touts itself as an upscale place; it not up to that mark. The décor for one is not luxurious, the furniture is Spartan. The location is great and one can go to other places after dinner or walk around. I tried the lunch buffet, it is not cheap. They had some good dishes like the Samosas (Indian... More

Party of 5 - parents and young adults. We all loved it. Really excellent food and service. We were in an upstairs room - quiet and sophisticated. Son loved his bourbon cocktail. We all loved the spinach appetizer and naan. Best entrees - ginger tuna and rack of lamb. Chai tea at end was delicious.

We are in D.C. For the night on our way to NC and found this little gem. I am British and have lived in the USA for 15 years and this is by far the best Indian food I have had in North America. The staff were also amazing. We will definitely be back here on our trips down. Thank... More

Visited Le Mirch for the first time to hear a friend (Hannah) sing on Thursday night. The food was wonderful (aubergine curry), and the portion size was enough for two people. Free parking off Connecticut Avenue after 6:30pm if you can find it.
