My teen and I met a couple of friends for dinner here. We came for the poutine (excellent, by the way) and also enjoyed a couple of the pies (chicken pot pie, shepherds pie). The Big Ben Brownie for dessert finished off a good meal.

This is the best British Pub in D.C., hands down. The atmosphere is perfect, the food is awesome, and the service is actually good, too, which is rare in D.C.!

We had a mammoth beveraging sessions here. Great pub atmosphere with some great scoff. That said, the waiter could have been more attentive. Too many empty pint glasses, which is a money loser.

We were walking by and decided to stop due to their cute sign and name. SO glad we did - what a fun place. It's a bar and casual restaurant - always packed! With a combo Indian/Irish menu! We decided to go Irish - my...More

Busy after work gathering spot, good selection of domestic & imported beer. Fish & Chips were very good, limited GF options. Friendly and efficient wait staff.

The mussels and beer sauce was absolutely superb. The fish and chips are a staple at any pub. These were good, but not over the top by any means. We would go back and get the same again for sure.

We just happened upon the Elephant & Castle while walking down the street. They had outside table on a nice day. The Chicken Pot Pie was just okay, but came with a good salad. My wife had spicy chicken skewers that I thought were very...More

Visited on a Sunday evening on our first day in Washington and it was very quiet, as were the streets around, so got seated immediately. Service was very good but the food was average at best - I had the stuffed yorkshire pudding and found...More

I only gave this 3 stars because our pretzel and beer cheese appetizer and my Shepard's pie was very good. Service however was atrocious. The hostess did not crack a smile. Fine, we're in the city and I guess that's how people act. What was...More
