Went in for lunch; had the Israeli Salad paired with the "special of the day" -- a sliced pork loin pressed sandwich with provolone and mustard aoli. The meal was fantastic, satisfying and well worth the $12.

Nice and friendly hangout place! High hipster ambience with the best cooked meat ever. Try the rostbeef sandwich or the pastrami! Wow!

We also eat chorizo cigars as appetizers, very good too !! I recommend this place !!! The price is the same as other sandwich restaurant but the quality is better... More

The lamb was so tender it melted in... More

We stayed in a condo above this restaurant. It was very handy -- for a drink after sight-seeing or take-out. The sandwiches were large enough to split. They have a kid's menu upon request which was nice for my pickier eaters.

I've been to Carving Room a few times because it is a relatively cheap sitdown place for lunch, and overall I really like the vibe here but the sandwiches too often disappoint and are too pricey. This is a little bit of a hike from my office, but you can only go to Union Station for food so many times... More

First, be aware that the address should be something like 727 4th Street NW, as the entrance is on 4th Street NW between G and H. If you go in at 300 Mass. Ave. you will not find this place. The interior is very industrial. The chairs are rather low, but comfortable enough. But the noise level is VERY LOUD,... More
