This isn't fancy, and frankly I walked past this place dozens of times without noticing. But once you walk in, its so well run. I felt like the Mom-owner of the shop was someone I'd grown up around, she was so sweet but also efficient....More

Bubs has, hands down the best hoagie I've ever had in DC. My favorite is the Italian hoagie. It tastes just like the hoagies I would get at the corner deli back home. The way they blend all the meat, chees, and fresh veggies. With...More

Clam chowder was awesome, and my Pop's brisket hoagie was out of this world. Our daughter (who skipped breakfast) could not get through a full bolognaise hoagie, so the rest of us helped out! Great little place tucked away with local flavour.

Enjoyed a great lunch in this unassuming small deli. Don't be fooled, the chow is great. We had the Bobs Brisket sandwich, the Al Capone. Both were fresh and delicious. Their homemade potato chips were tasty, as were the dill pickles. The staff was friendly...More

I continue to frequent Bub and Pops for delicious hand crafted sandwiches and sides. Lots of homemade specialties including a great corned beef sandwich and killer homemade pickles. Love this hidden gem all around. Gets really crowded at lunch so opt for odd hours.

We visited Bub and Pops on a Saturday for lunch after seeing them featured on Guy Fieri DD&D. Our first impression is that the owner that assisted us was overwhelmed and a little disorganized. During our visit the sandwich shop was steady but not overly...More

Hoagies, subs... or grinders and torpedoes. There are a lot of sandwich shoppes around this neighborhood but this one is authentic. So even though you'll see hoagies and subs in DC - i like to think of those old fashioned grinders and torpedo rolls served...More
