After reading good reviews for Woodward table, we decided to meet friends for a Saturday evening dinner. Once arriving at the restaurant we were greeted and seated by a very polite hostess. Our table had a good view of a very busy and organized kitchen....More

Woodward Table falls flat every time. It build you up. It's centrally located in downtown DC near many great companies. The atmosphere is old DC regal suggesting political deals went down within its walls decades ago. You expect greatness, but once the food comes out,...More

The service was slow but even worse was the food. We were a party of 4 and no one liked their dish.. We all agreed we would never go back.

The service was okay, and the food was just average. We did have a large group, but had a reservation, and the waiter seemed frazzled. The filet was okay, but nothing special. With all the great options in DC, I won't go here again.

The food lacked any seasoning at all. We had the fried chicken, margarita pizza and burger. All the meals were bland. I don't think the chefs know how to season their meats. The fried chicken had no taste. The only good thing not the plate...More

While this hasn't been on the DC scene for all that long, it has become a Washington establishment fairly quickly. It is in the heart of downtown making it a perfect after work place. Very good food, but had a remove a star for service....More

There are many, many good restaurants in D.C. Some favorites of tourists and some more frequented by locals. My friend tells me this is his favorite. Food and atmosphere are terrific. A buzz of excitement and political talk abounds. Service a bit slow though it...More

Jeffrey and Sallie Buben's Woodward Table, housed in the historic Woodward Building is a concept that exudes a timeless feel with neighborhood charm. Located just one block from The White House, Woodward presents a "table" of dining possibilities with two eateries...the main restaurant with its creative and diverse American menu and Woodward Takeout Food, a sprite artisanal alternative for breakfast and lunch. The soul of Woodward Table's cooking involves creating seasonal iconic American dishes, a chef's contemporary approach and a regional repertoire of ingredients. Woodward Takeout Food, aka WTF, adjacent to the restaurant, creates a quick serve American breakfast or lunch for the busy Washingtonian, available to eat in or take out. Woodward Takeout Food is like being in a good cook's kitchen...a venue of sights and sounds with the bakery of the entire restaurant located at one end.
