We stopped here for Chinese buns as it was a place that was recommended by friends. We ordered both pork and bean paste. Both kinds were good. One of our party ordered bubble tea. We didn't stay for long and took our food and walked around China town.

My friend and I wanted to try congee. We walked to the Joy Luck House. I can't really say how their congee compares since this was our first try! We thought it was quite tasty! They served a huge bowl...really we could have split one. We tried the steamed park buns which were tasty (a little dry). The stars for... More

Was looking for traditional chinese breakfast. Found it open around 8 on a Sunday. Limited menu that included congee, fried bread, pork buns and dumplings. Regardless, it was terrific. It isn't fancy but that's the point. A great local place to have traditional chinese breakfast in downtown DC.

I ordered a General Tso's chicken with white rice. The only reason that this restaurant is receiving two stars as opposed to one is that the chicken itself was not overly breaded. The meat however was very poor in that it lacked flavor or substance. It was like eating soft flavorless mush. The rice tasted as if it were prepared... More

This facility offers counter service only. The food was not appetizing, the orange chicken was soaked in sauce and the chicken appeared to have been frozen, prebreaded and was terribly fatty. Both our meals were quite underpar. The drinks were cans or bottles and were in a refrigerator unit that was warm. The restaurant didn't appear clean, restroom definitely could... More

We hit this place late lunch /early dinner time and we had an interesting crowd. Service was a bit lacking as I had to ask for the rest of our food some time after most of it had shown up. Shrimp wonton noodle soup was a great choice. Prices are very reasonable. I had a crysanthemum tea drink and it... More

After having brunch next door, I grabbed sesame puff balls as a take-out snack - tasty and delicious.

The lunch specials like the chicken rice soup w/ a side of you tiao are excellent to enjoy while sitting at the window counter. I used to like this place better when their baked pork buns where made freshly in-house. Now they seem to be baked ahead of time, refrigerated, and offered from the counter wrapped in cellophane as though... More

Red bean desserts are worth a try, though place is not as appealing inside as it looks from outside. Ironically, packaged pastries are more moist and better than fresh ones, which taste dry.

Servers are nice but this place has a smell of trash. The food is ok but it is the smell that kills the vibe! Tables are sticky and who knows where your glass of water is coming from. This place must have had a change of management because last year the smell wasn't there. Overall good food but sanitation is... More
