My wife and I had the combination grilled scallops, shrimp, and crab cake. One of the best dinners I have ever had. Not cheap but reasonable for the quality of the food.

I love all the Legal Seafood restaurants I have been too. This one is especially nice for happy hour. They have a great happy hour menu including a seafood tower with oysters, clams and lobster. The mai tai's are the best!

We missed this chain in Boston and decided to give it a try. Happy hour had just started and I felt peckish. I decided to try the ribs and the tuna sliders. The rib meat fell off the bone. The sauce was on the sweet...More

This is an upscale bar across the street from the Hockey complex. The beer is very cold and fresh. The calamari was very good. I had it Rhode Island style. The soft shell crab with a mushroom gravy was the best I've ever had. It...More

My sister and I both ordered the crab cake combo and found it to be delicious..... And quite reasonably priced. The presentation was attractive. Our server was quite engaging . The restaurant seemed to be quite well staffed. We would both go back.

In D.C. For a conference. Drinks good but expensive. Calamari was good a little greasy. Crab dip had too much mayo, soupy. Seafood casserole was tasty, buttery but the seafood (shrimp, scallops, lobster) was overcooked.

Visited on a "nothing special" weekend, where there wasn't much going on in town. Good was great for all in the party. We had salmon, tuna and trout. Cooked to our expectations and staff was concerned if cooked as such. The wait staff, however, was...More

This was a terrible dining experience. Service was horrible and food was worse. Rushed from the moment we sat down. Ordered drinks and were not given what we ordered. Lesser quality liquor and tried to pass it off as what we ordered. Server was rude...More

Description
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. A bipartisan favorite, we have occupied the nation’s capital since 1995, anchored across from the Verizon Center and around the corner from the International Spy Museum, National Portrait Gallery and Chinatown. Make waves at our racetrack-shaped bar or sup on seafood underneath the hull-like ceiling in our restaurant’s main dining room. Either way, be presidential and order a cup of our New England Clam Chowder; it’s been served at every Inauguration since 1981. Other accolades include “Best Place for Great Seafood” (Washingtonian Magazine, 2008) and “Best Crab Cakes” (Washingtonian Magazine, 2008)
