About
An Italian (ish) neighborhood restaurant, inspired by small osterias in Italy. La Collina means “The Hill” in Italian. A neighborhood spot for friends and families to meet and share meals together. We say ISH because the owner is not Italian and we take liberty at times to incorporate ingredients that might not be Italian…but we know it will be delicious.

FOOD was very tasty. We started with the Heirloom Tomato Brushetta. For dinner multiple dishes were ordered but the favorite by all was the Sweet Corn Ravioli. Ever dish was fresh and presented nicely.
SERVICE was attentive yet sometimes overly interruptive...the waiter was extremely friendly and came by our table often to check on us.
NOTE: There is a 22% SERVICE CHARGE on ALL TABLES from 1 diner to 99 diners. This is in lieu of gratuity.

I don’t know what really is going on here. Ordered garlic bread. Was served ONE small slice with little taste ($8) Got the steak which was good ($123) Pasta caccio pepe which for $33 was a joke. JUST maybe you will be able to get four bites out of this plate. Also got the broccolini (4 small pieces for around $20)
Asked for some bread and was told my only option was to order the garlic bread again.
Ended up paying close to $400 (they also add service charge = 20%+)
Overall, the quality of the food was fine BUT the prices vis a vis the size of the portions was ridiculous. I wouldn’t have any issues in spending that amount with sensible portions and a good service (which was really mediocre)
Their business model is out of whack. Would not go back.

The food, the service, the atmosphere and the concept are amazing! We have been twice in two months, coming from Annapolis, and I can’t say enough good things. RUN don’t walk to this AWESOME restaurant.
