The Atlas Room made my girlfriend and I sick to our stomachs. We thought we would have a great Valentine's Day dinner. Instead we had the worst meals of our lives. The Lamb was tough and strong and the Pork was sour. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We also not only got sick on the food but... More

The food was excellent. Don't let anyone tell you differently. Nicely presented, delicious to taste, and really wonderful. I have two major complaints for why this restaurant doesn't get 5 stars. First, everything went too quickly. We ate three courses and were in and out within an hour and a half. For a restaurant of that caliber, the turnover should... More

The Atlas Room is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in DC. It is truly a treasure! If you haven't been, make a reservation ASAP. Be sure to get the brown butter cake as a dessert. You won't regret it!

We had heard about The Atlas Room for years and for some reason never made it here until yesterday: What a treasure. Very Comfortable small place with a creative bar. We had a nonalcoholic person with us and they concocted a custom drink for them, then named it after them...why wouldn't our dinner proceed beautifully. I had the Southside of... More

The food here is an explosion of flavors, from appetizers to dessert! We were very pleased with the beet salad appetizer, seafood and pork dishes. It's great that many items are gluten free. Be careful walking around the neighborhood, it's a little dicey at night though. Parking wasn't too difficult, but I got a ticket even though I used my... More

The Atlas Room is a brave attempt to bring modern fusion cusine to an (almost) up-and-coming neighborhood. Subdued lightlng, relatively little noise, by the standards of Washington's trendy restaurants, good cocktails and attentive service make this small dining room a pleasant place to spend an evening. It is, however, let down by the cuisine and the prices. Beet salad and... More

Great Place -- here is why, Fantastic food and Service. My wife took me here last night for my birthday -- been by tons of times (like many reviewers), but finally had the food. Karim is such a nice guy and his knowledge and service are impeccable. I can't remember the last time I entered a restaurant that was unpretentious,... More

We enjoyed a very nice dinner at The Atlas Room on a recent Saturday evening. The restaurant as its name suggests is located in the very happening Atlas area of DC. Neighborhood seems to be gentrifying and there's a real mix of people milling around the block. The restaurant is quite small and reservations are recommended. We arrived at 6:00... More

Karim was our server/host and was fantastic. He takes great pride in what he does without being pretentious. They have an extensive cocktail list, and even though I am not a cocktail guy, my wife and mother-in-law really enjoyed their drinks. Food was great. If you're looking for a great meal on H St., I'm not sure where else I... More

Great food, even better service. Karim is a true pro, charming and spot on with his food and beverage recommendations. Started with a special, kale florentine ravioli which delightfully came with the same sauce as the mushroom ravioli. The fish of the day (bass) over fennel risotto had perfectly balanced flavors. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu,... More
