Fixed price for one fixed menu. So delicious they give you seconds, and you'll never get tired of it. I promise. I've been here at least 15 times!

We stopped here for Sunday brunch. It was advertised outside as all you could eat, but really it was just a set menu that you chose only certain items. Food looked good but the taste was underwhelming. Frites were soggy and the steak was tough. French toast was better but the sausage tasted strange. Our server barely smiled and was... More

Always a good place for dinner, just don't think you are going to get a choice! Dinner is salad, French fries, and steak cooked your preference. It is a fixed price menu. You can choose your beverage, alcoholic or otherwise, and you can pick a dessert. Remember this is NOT a steakhouse. This is a good place for a casual... More

We were surprised at the first time when we noticed that there was only one main menu: steak! You have a choice about your drinks, desert and how the steak may be cooked (recommended: medium rare). That´s all. But that is more than enough! The fresh baked warm bread with butter is a good start. Followed by a salad with... More

We go here every time with are in DC and we love, love love it. The service is quite good and the food is delicious! The bread and salad are tasty to start off, and then the steak and frites are fantastic, and two helpings! Then if you've managed to save room for dessert, I strongly recommend their ice cream... Bread was very good salad basic but nice dressing Steak was what I would describe as a 'minute steak' tasty but not particularly hot Chips - were fine Wine expensive - cheapest bottle of red over $30 but it appears wine is expensive in every restaurant we have visited Our waiter was excellent very chatty without being intrusive

For one thing on the menu this is an amazing experience. The food is fabulous. They are accommodating. Limited bar selection.

Medium Rare is great! They go by the theory that if you do something, and you do it well, stick with it! The meal is about $25, includes steak and fries, gravy, warm bread and salad. The meat was well prepared. Everything was very flavorful. The service was great, as was the atmosphere in this Cleveland Park neighborhood restaurant. The... More

My daughter chose this place for our last meal in DC and it did not disappoint. They have Saturday brunch which was a prix fixe fare with salad, bread, your choice I believe there were 3 kinds) of steak with the fries and unlimited mimosas! (well unlimited drinks really) 😜 The bread was warm and warm bread is always a... More

It isn't France but the steak frites only menu is on track to be the real thing. To be authentic why not offer salad to be served after the main, instead only before? Frites crisp, steak cooked as ordered- service maybe a bit sloppy, but all in all a good experience.

Description
Reservations are not required. Contact us for large parties or special events. Feel free to contact us regarding our seating policy. Yes, we do serve brunch/lunch on Sunday with a great prix fixe including French Toast, Steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict and bottomless bloody Marys, mimosas and screwdrivers. During the evenings, Medium Rare offers a unique, prix fixe dinning experience of artisan bread; a mixed green salad; prime, dry-aged steak; and hand-cut fries in a relaxed, fun, neighborhood environment. As we do only one thing, we do our best to make the food and experience exceptional and also a good value. There are only a few wine, spirits, and draft beer choices, but each were selected specifically to accompany your meal. We offer an off-the-menu vegetarian option. Please contact us to inquire.
